Boge cartos cost $2 - I think $2 and even 1 week's use is fine. Try one and you will see why they are worth it. Hold more juice, you don't have to add juice as often, won't dump all of its juice in your mouth, work fairly consistently, fresh atty in every one. I get them at LiteCigUSA.net. You will spend a lot more on juice than you spend on cartos. I forgot another benefit - switch totally from one flavor to another. And you can cap them with the condoms and carry them in your pocket.
Always remove a carto from the battery when adding juice. I do not use the condom push method (yes it's a boon to people with crappy hard or glued on caps - I buy soft-cap cartos and fill them as intended, but you can do it different if you want). I hold a tissue on the threaded end. Pop the cap out with an unbent paperclip stuck in just far enough to pop it out. Hold the carto and at angle and drip into the stuffing. A new standard carto should take 20-28 drops depending on the size of the drops. Clean up the threaded end. Then I puff into the threaded end with the open end tilted down into a tissue to clean the center air channel - you should be able to see light through there (and if you cannot, gently try to straighten with a totally straight paper clip). Then I used the folded tip of a tissue to clean up any juice pooled above the stuffing. On a new fill, lay the cart on different sides for a while to make sure every bit of stuffing is damp (else you could singe the stuffing when you ue it and ruin the flavor). Then recap (or use a nice plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece) and vape. If you get the slightest hint of singed taste stop! See if it needs more liquid, rotate it in all directions, etc. If it seems flooded - nice and damp but not making good vapor, just keep trying until excess liquid around the atomizer it is is cleared a bit.
When vaping, if the vapor gets light or a bit dry in a way that tilting the ecig carto down for 5 seconds won't fix, then remove it from the battery and add some juice.
Oh and if you want to spend money, start buying juices - a never-ending pursuit. And along the way you'll find some that really make you happy.
