So I'm burning cartomizers like they're going out of style. I suppose I *could* get the hang of knowing when to refill, when to wash, and when to discard; but in the meantime I'm melting and inhaling the polyfill.

I quit smoking, or so I thought.

So what's my next step? Just bring me to the finish line. What gear do I need to pick up? Is a box mod in my future? That's what's attracting me at the moment. I'd like to pick up a REO Grand, but if I can't get one from this upcoming batch, I'll consider a different box.

HELP! (please) :)

People DO love their REO's!

What model are you using? 510? kr808d-1? eGo?

What works well for one person may be nothin' but trouble for the next. If we know what you are currently using, we can make better suggestions.

I haven't had any problems with regular carto's but I keep mine soaked for 6v vaping.

I think the problem is that I alternately flood them or suck them dry. That's why I was asking in another thread about topping-off cartos or "finishing" them and then refilling. Regardless, I've just had enough at this point. I can't get it out of my head that I'm inhaling a melted leisure suit.

ETA: These are the V2Cigs.com cartos that I'm refilling.

You could look into the Go-Go. It holds 3 ml of juice.

I can't help you with mods. I have a joye Ego and use either the tank or cartos. I get the boge cartos that hold about 1 ml of juice. I fill three cartos and when there's no taste or taste drops off, I change it. Either at night or in the AM I refill the 2-3cartos. It's better to change them too soon than vape them dry because once you do that you have to toss them.

Anyway, that's what works for me.

Edit: the Go-go is out at both vendors.

once you go box mod there is no turning back, plus its a super fun hobby, batteries are interchangeable, low startup cost great return on investment.

Go to radio shack for a decent soldering iron(20-30), mad vapes for the parts I suggest the pre wired battery connectors to start with.

Read the forum for tips and tricks.

Start with a aa box mod, its super easy, and it makes it so you have 14500's on hand.

I just recently built a vari volt box mod for less than 20bucks with what i've learned from this forum. It is a blast,

Did you check if they have an internal seal? Pop the cap on one you killed. If there is an internal seal over the stuffing then I think you need to remove that to do condom fills if that is how you really want to fill them. Or buy some KR808D-1 Boge cartos (standard resistance) and try them, filling them as intended.

If you are using thick juice, use thinner juice.

And if cartos are not enough for the way you vape, you could buy an Ego T

Since you have manual batteries already, I'd suggest getting a 901 atty (it will fit your batteries) and try dripping. Thats the best tasting way to vape and there is no filler to burn. You can still use carts with it if you choose to.

You could also look into the CE2 carto's for the 808d-1. They have no polyfill to burn but you do occasionally have to tip them upside down to get the juice flowing.

Also, Kranger, the company who makes 808d-1 cartos is about to release their own version of a tank-style carto with no poly inside.

I agree with the others.. get a 901 atty and see if that works better.

I'm a serial carto killer myself ( the reg KR8 are really bad for me).
Followed all the tips, tricks , wet wet etc etc I can still burn them faster than you can blink.

The Boge 510's carto's are better but I can only get those to last a few days at best.
Best luck I had was with the smokestik carto's ( 2 weeks on one)
I'm trying the CE2-X's atm ( just got them in yesterday) So far I'm having good luck with them.

Well look at my sig and you will see I highly recommend any type of REO :)

You should be able to get one on the run next week if you put your mind too it.
Last run I think they stayed on the site almost 24 hours .... but you never know.
Best to watch the REO forum for a firm date and be on right at 7pm est.

If your collection ever gets too big to handle, I know someone who'd take one off your hands.
