Option 1 - Find a box you like and get the corresponding clear tackle box that will fit inside. There are tons of configurations and sizes, at your local sporting goods store.

Option 2 - Find the best tackle box to suit your needs (again, the clear tray type) and throw it in your sock drawer.

Just use a new one, instead of a used one. I'm a pretty avid angler with about 60 tray tackle boxes, but didn't use any of mine, because all had lots of lead (lures, weights, etc). Yeah I know I'm probably being overly sensitive, but it provided me with a good excuse to go to Cabelas... LOL

Wow... The custom box in the pics does look awesome! If that were stained wood it would be perfect. If I came home with a box looking like that I would be no better off than where I started with the wifey. Iam sure the first thing she would say would be: "There better not be a .... in there!"

I still like this one: http://www.jeffgreefwoodworking.com/pnc/Boxes/FingJewel/lead2.JPG best, but I can't find anything similar for sale still...

I made my own box out of wood. Contact Mistinthewoods he makes wood things and isn't too expensive either. This is the one I made.

OK... WOW!! I geuss when I first posted this question I somehow thought I was the first person to ever run into this problem. :p

After searching the forum I have found that there seems to be a natural progression from small tackle box through over the top tool box. I geuss I will leave the idea of the nice pretty wooden box in the back of my head for "buy it when I see it", and head to Wal-Mart or a sporting goods store and get me a small tackle box and keep it under the bed or in the closet. I suppose now my only fear is that my small tackle box will end up like my blu starter kit... An inadequate waste of money!!

I geuss noobs have to start somewhere... What's the kr808d-1 of storage? The 510 of tool boxes?? It looks like Plano is popular. Is that just a brand of tackle box??

OK, I took the plunge today... I went to the Wal-Mart and got me a small plano 2 sided divider tray thingie. I don't know the model number, but it's a small one. Hopefully now I can trash the 3 starter kit boxes I have all my stuff crammed into! I will know how well it works when I get home from work today.

I know I will probably out grow it quickly, but at least after this I will have a better idea of what I will end up needing in the long run. It seems as though alot of this stuff has been trial and error for me. At least with every error I make I do learn!

This wooden box was bought at a dollar store for about $10. It works perfectly for storing 120mL bottles of PG, VG, Nic liquid, and all the little sample bottles of liquid mixtures. I keep batteries in a cup and atomizers in a small plastic box on my desk. The quart-sized bottles of vaping liquid I've mixed are stored on the top shelf of my bedroom closet.

I like to keep things simple and have no need for some humongous tool box with all kinds of crap that I'll never use.
