Wow, it's bad when your thread titles are auto filled LOL.

OK, so I am trying to get an order together for some supplies. An ego t atty or two (got my cartos in but still undecided on how I feel about them), a smoktech dual coil carto or two, and the thing I need help with...

I am wanting an atty for dripping- for my ever changing flavor wants and for testing as my next order will be for some DIY supplies. :D I have no idea exactly what to look for - don't know which attys are for dripping or other things. Can someone recommend an atty? Links would be helpful too. ;) Also, what will I need with the recommended atty... drip tips, cones, whatever else???

I am looking at Welcome to Ecigsupply - For all your E-Cig needs since they have everything I am wanting to get with this order, but I am open to suggestions as long as I can get everything from them.

Also, a question about batteries- how long should I expect the ego batteries to last? I was wondering if I should go ahead and get a spare. I have 2 and in a pinch I could get one locally, but they are more expensive. I haven't even had them a month so I don't expect them to die soon but I really have no idea what to expect on battery life. If it helps, I have been pretty much having to charge them once a day each.

Thanks again in advance for all the wonderful help! :2cool:

I like the 306 atomizers. They are on that site if you look under atomizers and then in the 510 category. I would get the 306 bazooka drip tips to go with. I love the 306s for dripping and only use that kind. I have had a couple die on me, though, so I would get a couple if you go that route. I would get the good drip tip too because the ones that usually come with those are cheap and flimsy and dont hold the juice well and also are too short and your lips get hot!

My ego batteries used to die on me usually in the evening and then i would charge and switch. They are still going strong after several months and i have no idea how long they will actually "live." Somebody else will know that. What I usually do is just keep an eye out for awesome sales on batteries or hardware or whatever, and maybe pick up an extra here and there that you can charge on the same charger.

Hope that helps!

HV is for higher voltage PVs, you wouldn't use them on an eGo. You either want to get a standard resistance atty(about 2.5-3.2ohm) or a low resistance atty(2.0ohm and below. LRs will give a warmer vape and more TH. most people prefer LR attys and cartos. For the ego I'd get a 2.0om atty. 1.5ohm-1.7ohm can potentially fry an eGo so be careful using them. That's one of the reasons I recommend getting a 2.0ohm Atty or higher bc it wont stress the eGo MOSFET as much.
Either get a 306 atty or 510 atty. either will work. Alot of drippers like the 306s like dotma said.

I'd def recommend getting another battery. Even if you don't use it right away, you will def use it at some point.
EGo batteries last about 250-300 charge cycles. That's just an average, it could be longer or shorter. Obviously user error can kill one faster (ie frying the mosfet using too low of an ohm for the eGo to handle)
I also recommend not letting the batteries drain all the way down. Try to throw them back on the charger when they have about 25% left. They will last longer that way.

OK, now I am thoroughly confused. Don't feel bad though, technical stuff just confuses me. The only 2 306 attys are the HV and the LR that is 1.5 ohm. But the ego t LR atty is also 1.5 ohm, and made for the ego???

Do I need to find somewhere else to order that has a 306 2 ohm atty?

RE Ego batts.
I am still using a Ego that i bought almost 1 year ago (Middle or so of January 2011)
Got the Ego starter kit from Liberty Flights.
Both batteries are still working fine.
Which is really a surprise to me, didn't think they would last this long.
Both are used daily in rotation--switch when i get home at night and then switch before work in morning.

Have also bought backup batts that only lasted a month or so:(
So--YES--get a few extras just to be safe.

With Lithium-ion batteries you get usually 200-300 (some say 100-200) charges before they start to drop off but even after that they still can work for a long time just at a reduced quality..but there are variances so you could have one fail all of a sudden and you could have one work for years..also other things besides the batteries can fail like switches ect...

One thing that will kill lithium-ion batteries badly is leaving them without at least 50% a charge and if stored they need to be charged once in awhile. 100% charged ones only need to be recharged about once a year to keep the batteries from failing in storage. So as long as you charge dead ones right away you can get a really long life out of them :)

I don't think I will ever have to worry about that, at least not with my pv batts haha. I'm sure I have other types of batts around that are ruined from leaving them uncharged, though.

Thanks again for the info everyone. Off to place my order now. :vapor:
