Need some advice quick!

I have been vaping for a while now, I work at a hospital, when I have time I go to my locker room and bathroom and vape. I have been doing this for a while with no problem. Tonight I had had a fellow co worker tell me my boss found out and wants to talk tomorrow morning. Someone ratted on me thinking it was a cig or even drugs! What should I do when I talk with him??

Unless they have rules explicitly banning ecig use, I would come clean with them. If they tell you to stop, then stop.

If there are rules against it, you're SOL. Your best bet would be to make them prove it.

What's their policy? Can you tell him your trying to quit and it's an inhaler? Which it sort of is. Do they let people that work there use patches? Same thing, really.

Thanks guys, there is no policy against it. I am going to tell him I'm weaning myself and trying to quit. I printed out a sheet that has info about how vaping is cost effective and helpful in hospital situations(hesitant to give it to him) but will give him the info about what it is. I'm doing it in private, not in the middle of the hospital blowing rings!
It is a non tobacco product. Patients vape in their rooms! Anything else which would be helpful. ?? I want to come across nice, not cocky but sorry?

I'm so glad I have a cool boss! He told me that someone wrote him an email saying I was smoking a houka! Keep in mind I only vape in the bathroom and lockroom. My co workers told him previously what exactly what it was. He also told me someone took a picture of me! WTF ! I told him I was sorry he had to deal with this stuff. He said he is trying to figure out if it is banned here at the hospital, meanwhile just be more discreet. He said he doesn't think that I'm doing anything wrong, but since it's a hospital it will prob come back illegal like smoking. I told him all the facts and educated him, he already researched it. So now I'm just waiting, but man am I lucky to have an awesome boss!

Yeah I was nervous this morning after work. He saw how petty it was, and for the person who thought they were " detective .... Tracy" he doesn't have much of a life! Taking secret pictures of me trying to catch me "smoking my hooka"! I pretty sure I know which nurse it is but I feel sorry for him, he doesn't have a life! Anyways I hope they dont come up with a ban against vaping. Thanks for all your support! Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I wonder?

Update! Now after two meetings with my bosses they have told me that someone said that I was smoking a hooka in the bathroom and using it to get high.Some one even took a candid picture of me in the act (supposedly) I explained to them everything they said to them it's the same as the patch is. But after human resources got back they said I have to go outside with the rest of the smokers! I was upset and told them this is what I was afraid would happen, ignorance , and there is no way to change their decision until they have another mtg about it. Meanwhile my boss said he doesn't see anything wrong if I vape in the bathroom (wink wink) even though now hr wants me outside.
Boy has this been blown out of control! My supervisor just said to be very secret and only vape in private areas .

Anyone have any comments or similar situation?

I can't relate to your situation, but you should have little trouble concealing it, since there is really no smell and the vapor disappears quickly.

I'd be totally honest about it. Sounds like you did the right thing. Kind of lame that your co-worker had a problem and didn't just confront YOU about it instead of tattling. Oh well...maybe you'll have to go outside to vape at some point. Best just to stay on good terms at you place of employment. I think you handled this well.
