Hey guys, I'm new to the forums, I have been analog free for 70 days and I am really enjoying the alternative vaping lifestyle. I hit vaping very hard and become very interested in it as a hobby as well.

Currently my setup is an MVP 2.0 with an Aspire Nautilus Mini tank. I love my setup for driving, and when I'm in class so it works for me in those aspects. However I really wanted to get into dripping and building my own coils when I'm at home relaxing or out with friends.

I have been looking to get a VV/VW box such as the God Box or the IPV 3. I was wondering what kind of RDA was good for what I'd like to do. I'd like to switch to 100% VG juices so that I can get big clouds but I also want something that will give me a huge flavor profile as well. I know that airflow is very important for this. Any advice or setups, maybe with a description of difficulty in building the coils would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance.

*On a side note: I like the idea of having a VV/VW high end box because of the amount of control I have and the extended battery life. I also have an extended knowledge of electronics and such so being technical is ok :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are new to rebuildables I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (one of our resident battery experts) and visit his blogs. (and others around you). Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM (if you are using a mech mod) so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries.

Baditudes Blogs. The blogs regarding rebuildables are listed below:

BATTERIES

9. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
* Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

17. Purple Efest Batteries Not As Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

OHM'S LAW

14. Ohm's Law for Dummies (Vapers)
* My attempt at explaining Ohm's Law in layman terms and how it relates to vaping.

16. Explain it to the Dumb Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations
* As simple as it is to use, some people have a tough time grasping the concept. Warning: Includes graphic photos of mod explosions.

MECHANICAL MODS & REBUILDABLES

7. Information Resources for Your First RBA
* An essential read and reference guide for someone new to rebuilding coils. Includes a multitude of useful links on battery safety, mod safety, coil meters, coil building, and the differences in the three types of RBA's.

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

From what i understand just about any box with 2 batteries will last you a good while. My favorite RDA thus far has been the Tugboat, great flavor and hard hitting with a deep juice well, I use a GI2 clone but prolly wouldn't recommend for personal reasons. I'm actually in the process of building a couple of boxes and am hoping that turns out well! The best batteries i've found to date are the green Imren 2600mAH they are 38Amp batteries so can handle quite a load.
