Maybe get something with wide support, that you can buy heads for easily, but also comes with an RBA deck so you can build your own coils as well, like the Kanger Toptank or the new ProTank 4.

As for drippers - I'd get at l least one, as they can be had for so cheap, and I get the feeling that if you like smoking hookahs and shishas, then the dripper experience is likely to appeal to you.

The VTC Mini can be had for great deals now, but the latest model in that range is the VTwo, but it's practically identical - they just added a clock(!).

Kayfun Lites are (some would say the ultimate in) MTL tanks - they suit those who vape as if a cigarette - it's the direct opposite of a SubOhm DTL tank - maybe that's why you consider it 'average'.

DTL SubOhm tanks give great clouds, but less flavour by nature of how they work - although some of the more modern ones are more flavourful than the older ones. You pay for this in massively increased ejuice consumption and lessened battery life - you also will want to use far less nicotine in your juice with a SubOhm tank.

Some of the well-regarded DTL SubOhm tanks that also give good flavour are the Aromatizer, Sigelei Moonshot, Uwell Crown etc. - some are rebuildable, and some take stock coil heads and also have RBA decks for rebuilding.

Personally, I would get a tank that allowed for rebuilding (and if you get at least one dripper you'll also be covered) as well because the last thing you'll want to happen is to be stuck in Nowheresville miles from any vape shop and weeks from any postal delivery when you've just used up your last coil head. ;)

If you want mega-cloudz and don't care about your juice bill and want some flavour, you could look at the Uwell Crown (V2 is just out) and the SMOK TFV4 both of which take factory coil heads and also have RBA sections available for them for rebuilding.

Personally, I'd just rebuild and forget about the premade factory heads, as they're expensive, don't last that long, and might be unavailable especially in far flung places where 21st Century vaping hasn't quite reached yet. Something like the Sigelei Moonshot would do you proud:

You can get a decent clone Moonshot from Fasttech for around $13USD:

For a dripper, something like a Kennedy clone ($10USD @ Fasttech) would suit I would imagine, but I'm not the authority on DTL drippers, so maybe someone else might have another suggestion.

There's nothing wrong with the Kennedy, though.

Hey guys. Ive narrowed my search down to a uwell crown and smok tfv4.

I was leaning towards the smok but I've heard they can have leaking issues? Which would you prefer? And would they work well with the joyetech Evic VTC mini? Or should I go for a 100w rated mod?

Hopefully these are my last questions so I can wrap this up and go out n buy the kit!

Thanks

I would lean towards the Uwell crown over the Smok. I don't use Smok, have never recommend Smok (in the old days, admittedly) and when people mention Smok, I think;

"Heathrow, we may have a problem"...

SMOK's tanks are OK - better than their mods used to be for sure! Even so, they seem to have gotten their act together with mods these days, looking at all their post-XCube2 offerings...

I personally would still lean away from tanks that use factory coil heads, and just go straight for a pure RTA for maximum performance and flavour, and get something like a Sigelei Moonshot, Wotofo Serpent, Cthulu or Aromatizer etc.

All you have to do is buy some resistance wire, some cotton wool and spend a couple of minutes winding a coil, mounting it and then pulling some cotton wool through it! The coils can last for weeks, even months if you're careful, so you can just rewick your coils after cleaning them a couple of times a week.

A small 1-cell mod would be something like a VTC Mini or a Pico, or you could go all the way over to the other direction and get yourself a 3-cell Reualeux RX200...
