Ok, First of all, Hi to everyone here! I'm new and just started the E-program about 3 weeks ago, I do love it, But still dont know what I'm doing or what the best is or how to detect problems. So I would really appreciate any advise.

3 Weeks ago, I purchased the "OMG kit" from the I-X center here where I live in Ohio. Ity has the 3 pieces! And claims "life time Warrentee"" Hu! (battery, cart, atomizer) the battery's threads are on the inside so I cant even find a place to order new cartriges anywere. and It always seems to get clogged. I have nothing but problems and cant seem to even get a hold of the company, their site is only for ordering and I'm not ordering something if I cant even get an answer back from several letters.
Then I purchased the "Fuma Kit" There is a cigarette store right by me and its easier to get the cartriges for it) And It is only 2 pieces..(threads for charging are on the outside, and I like it the best) Inhaling is very easy and the smoke is(mist) is great. works and tast great. (I am a ultra Light smoker) I buy both ultra and reg lights, because I use the lights for the tall battery and the ultra lights for the small battery, otherwise the nicotine seems weaker... But now after only 1 week it seems broke. the charge only last 1/2 hr Im going through many more cartriges as before and I hear a airy sound like it has a leek. and the charging unit is turning yellow instead of red like it did when I purchased it. I cant get the cigarette store to exchange it for me.
Now I ordered another kit from "Green Smoke.com" (they had Pink Ones-I liked) It is also a 2 piece one and has the threads on the outside as well, so I can charge more, since I already have the exact charger from the other one I have. I just got it 2 days ago, I also bought the ultra lights and the regular nicotine.(came with talll and short battery0 But this one I cant seem to tast and its very hard to inhale and dont really have alot of mist. Is it ME? or what? I cant seem to know which one I need, and whats the difference between the companies that sell it in
High-Medium-Low-Zero- or Menthol? While others say or have flavors like: tobacco-Nicotine-25,18,16,12,8,6,0, Menthol- Mocha-vanilla-strawberry. All I want is something that I 'm use to smoking! I uasally smoke generic s or Pall Mall Ultra light 100's.
CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME ? Thanks T-bear046

T-Bear, watch these videos: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-videos-newbies-particular-broke-newbies.html They will help a LOT with your understanding of a couple of the most popular (and reliable) e-cigs that are recommended around here. Any of the suppliers listed here on this forum are considered reliable...go to the suppliers section. DON'T buy another e-cig without watching those and doing a little more research. You can get a really good, reliable e-cig for around $35.00. All those ones you're buying are NOT good....they're just taking your money. Slow down and do a little research. MistressNomad (the videos) tells it like it is in a very clear way. You can get the products she's talking about from reliable vendors who will bend over backwards to provide great service. Watch those and come back with specific questions. Okay? Welcome to vaping....it can (will) be GREAT once you get the right setup. Good luck.

Hi and welcome to ECF. I'm down in the Akron area so we're neighbors. Although I'm not familiar with the OMG stuff, the Fuma and Greensmoke are not very good units, and the OMG doesn't sound like it is either. If you don't mind a little drive go down to Altsmoke in New Philadelphia and they'll set you up with something decent and show you how to use it too. Their address and hours are on their contact page and they have a physical store now with display cases and everything. Even their bottom of the line units are good and they won't steer you wrong. They're also an ECF approved supplier.

If you need to "see it, touch it" first, then I would follow cskent's advice and get one of AltSmoke's eGo kits. You should prefer one with a better battery than what you have tried so far and you want one with a manual battery (small button) over the auto batteries that are more frustrating. An eGo or Riva 510 or VGO 801 are three of the better "beginner" PV's (personal vaporizers).

I would also suggest getting some eliquid and starting out with 24mg nicotine strength as it is the most common level used.

Good Luck

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

Greensmoke is KR808D-2 aka E9 and charges too much.

Every company is different, sells different flavors, labels them low/med/high or with nicotine amounts.
16, 24, etc is mg of nicotine per ml of liquid and there is disagreement over what should be called low, high, medium
Full-strength ecigarette smoker usually use 24mg or high

Stop buying ecigs at the mall. They are a rip-off. They charge too much, they don't sell blank carts and eliquid, and they often sell models that are incompatible w/ the more popular and lower-priced models like Joye 510, Vapor4Life, Ego, Riva.

One thing that they haven't mentioned yet, is that the vapor4life.com cartridges are compatable with greensmokes battery. You likely won't get great performance out of the battery, but you can hang on to your kit for now, and get to know the guys at V4L while you get used to vaping. Then, when your batteries die, (They will.) you can get a new starter kit from V4L. Their Wowboy and Wowbacco flavors are pretty good, and they make them in menthol too, if that's your thing. If you want to try something fruity, the Grape is usually really fresh and very spot on. Also don't be afraid to try the 555. it's really popular around here.

When you're ready to graduate from the smaller, cigarette shaped batteries, the Joye eGo is a great place to start. I'm a pretty heavy (Comparatively) vaper and the ego lasts me all day. That being said, it's not compatable with the V4L cartridges. It is, however, one of the most upgradable models out there, and relatively cheap to get started with. (Costs about the same as what you are using, or less, lasts longer, more reliable, better performance. Replacement parts are widely available. It's the Honda of the ecig world) I suggest the 650mAh starter kit at CigNot.com. I wouldn't jump right to the tanks though. They require a bit more maintenance than the other versions.

After that, there's a whole world of vaping out there, with probably hundreds of home-brew setups just waiting to be explored. With enough research, you'll even be able to build everything from scratch! Just keep at it!

This person already has three kits and they still can't vape. I think they're asking if there's a way to salvage one of the kits they have and be able to vape with it.

Ah I see...my bad. It been mentioned already in may other threads that purchasing from proven ECF suppliers is the best and safest way to go. Most have excellent customer service. Buying from brick&motar maybe fast but not often good. Yeah...nothing I just said helps with the OPs immediate issue and I do hope someone can give that help.

That's OK, that's sounds like an amazing mod! I want one! Soon as I can I'm getting one.

I feel really bad for this person. I know how much I wanted to quit and hoped that vaping would help. For an unlucky person I got really lucky when I accidently found this board and got a kit and juice that worked for me and for my mom (a 60 year smoker with COPD).

I wish everyone had the great experience I did and it could easily have been me buying kit after kit and really wanting this to work for them.

Maybe if the last kits can't be returned, this person can use one of them until the do a little research on the board and find a great match for them with a good pv and juice they like.

I just hope they don't give up, because I really believe vaping may have saved my life and added some years to my mom's life.

BTW, I want to thank you! I found out about that mod from one of your posts.

I also suggest altsmoke. If you are reasonably close. A few dollars in gas can help you significantly. I just ordered and put together and extra box kit. If you are near Cinci. drop me a pm and you can have it and I can help you out with future purchases and questions.

I am headed up to NY in another few weeks. I can always meet real quick at somewhere on the way for coffee and drop it off and give you a quick run down. No fuss no muss. You would need to get a battery charger for it though and some batteries. Just about $20 for a few batteries and charger.

Dataphreak - Vapor4Life cartos are not compatible with Greensmoke. Greensmoke is KR808D-2 and Vapor4Life is KR808D-1. A Greensmoke needs a D2 to D1 adapter from leCig.com to use Vapor4Life cartomizers.

And I did not suggest them because the op does not like the lack of vapor from Greensmoke and Vapor4Life should be almost identical vapor-wise. I have Vapor4Life and I vape it every day - and it gives a good warm hit, but their prefilled cartos do not make a ton of vapor. If the OP liked the the Greensmoke then that would be an option. BTW Greensmoke should have a money-back guarantee for the 30 days for the hardware? You could try to return the Greensmoke

I also think you should go to Altsmoke (see the post about Altsmoke on page 1 of this thread) and bring all of your ecig stuff along in case anything is reusable with a better kit. And get manual batteries so they won't get killed by juice leaks. Altsmoke is a normal price ecig store (not high-priced) and they sell popular compatible models that many vendors sell parts for. You can use eliquid of any strength or flavor you want - there are many elquid vendors on the web.
