You might be surprise to find out the amount of people actually using 20% in all VG mixes. It gives me the consistency similar to PG and doesn't clogg my equipment, which includes attys, cartos and eGoT
Switched, I've been premixing batches of VG nic and plain VG at 4:1 with distilled water. Do you do this?
I pour the VG into a graduated cylinder, then add DW with a 50mL syringe. I find it more convenient to measure the undiluted VG only once per month or so instead of every time a recipe is made.

I too premix my base 80VG/20DW, then add my nic and flavors per the calculator. Makes things faster and easier.
On the FA, I did start at 5% as everything I read said 2-3% but I see it can go 8-10 and maybe more for a full body flavor.
