I'm pretty sure its guaiacol.

I accidentally made a batch that tasted just like 555. I used 3ml PG, 5 drops FA Virginia, 5 drops FA Vanilla, 2 drops of diluted tobacco Absolute (1 drop 50% TA diluted in 1 ml of PG)

Then I added one drop of the 1% Guaiacol from TPA and it really made it taste like 555. The guaiacol really added that smoky, dry, nutty flavor that I get from 555.

Hope this helps if you are trying to diy a 555 type flavor. I wish I wrote my recipe down because I can't remember if I left anything out. But definitely look into guaiacol if you want to nail 555 on the head. Just wish I could accidentally make a DK tab or RY4 now :)

It should. The most I have ever used is 3 drops in a 30ML bottle.
It does add a nice flavor.
Use too much and it taste like corn chips to me.

For sure.... the tobacco molecules are very concentrated. I remember reading the ingredients for one of TW's liquids and the overall content of acetyl pyrazine and guaiacol were <1%.

I like using the molecules though, not for flavoring per se, but to add extra dimension and a signature touch.
