Need some game suggestions

As I said in another thread... Got the 360 and my classic xbox out of the closet.

All my games are years old.

Any suggestions for a few Gold Standards that people are playing these days?

Maybe a good FPS, racing game, and/or a decent new snowboarding game (not sure why, always loved those games... especially when they have a exploration/free ski mode)

Of coarse in the fps Modern Warfare is a big seller. Never played much in the way of snowboarding games. I really enjoyed Singularity and Fallout 3. Heard Alan Wake is really good but rather short. Let me know what you've played and havent and im sure I can help you find something.

xbox: Fable is awesome:
360: fable 2 fable and 3 is out soon! Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe way cool. Street Fighter 4 not too shabby. Red dead redemption. Resident evil 5. All good stuff!

FPS: Modern Warfare 2, Red dead redemption, Battlefield BC2

Fallout 3 was a great game, more of a RPG/FPS crossover along with Borderlands, crazy fun game.

Racing, still waiting for Gran torismo 5... I heard Blur was a cool game for simple racing maybe a game think it's called "Split second" (not sure on the title... A friend really liked it. It's like racing on a movie set he said.

Snowboarding: Nothing will ever be better than SSX Tricky for ps2. NOTHING.
