Need some help with few things that i cant understand...

Hello all, so i have few questions to ask.

1) No matter what atty i use, freshly made build fires perfectly and produce normal vape(depending on settings) But after a while...sometimes at second/third refill vape gets alot weaker(on same settings) When i wape it feels like coils aint firind enough and vape taste changes and vapour too.

2) I have rx 2/3 and overall its a poop, resistance changes even without touching mod. So i build a new coil, everything fine - start to vape and all good, but after i put in table and take again in 10-20minutes, resistance changes (depends on ohm at 0.25ohm coild change is +0.2-0.3, at 0.65ohm it even jumped to 0.75 and asked to change to a new coil or use old one. If i use old one id doesnt fire properly....so all in all i get a decent vape first refill of any atty.

I have rx2/3 that soon will be replaced by rx gen3 and have geekvape aegis. Or i just have very ....ty luck with geekvape stuff, and or geekvape sends rma items for gearbest.com to sell as all scrachcodes chek out. Had griffin/ammit/zeus and i really dont like them. Griffin leaks, ammit start to leak after 3-5refills no matter what i do, zeus just doesnt wick for me and no matter at what settings taste burnt.

Ive been vaping for over 4 years but last year + ive had so ....ty experience with new and higly rated vape stuff that i start to think about some curse remover or something. Ill test again when i get gen3, but even geekvape aegis shows random resistances - like now ive made a 0.29ohm dual build, tightly screwed wire, removed hotspots...well as ive always done - but still, if you unscrew atty and screw back, resistance readings will jump by 0.1-0.3ohm.

Does more expensive mods perform better/last longer? Sure, all my vape stuff wears off alot faster than many - i vape 15-20ml per day...but still, i just dont get it why the hell two different attys/mods perform badly no matter what build i throw in. Now vape taste like i wape it on ~100c, but in setting 200c @ 50W and doesnt show that too hot warning, on W mode same thing.

If you are having problems with an RX why did you order another? Their 510 pins have questionable qc. You can get better quality devices for the same price. Have you tried your builds on a different brand mod? There is a good Zeus thread where you can learn how to get the most from your Zeus. I would encourage you to give the Zeus another shot.

I think with goliath i didnt have problems like that. And im sure rx 2/3 is already used so could be of that, but aegis is pretty new and out of the box this happens. But if i recall it right, ive had this problem all these years....had a question here or reddit years ago(if im not mistaken) Problem where fresh coil fires/vapes perfectly, but after few refills or just some time performance drops atleast to 50% from starting one. I use RY4 double at around 1ml per 100ml base, use stevia as sveetener 1.5-2ml per 500ml and dilluted menthol crystals...plus coil most of the time is barely brownish. Thats why i wonder if i should save up more cash and buy one of overpriced mods...ones thatare in 100-200euro range, but not sure if that will help :D Even more i do standart wraps, wraps varies from diameter, but mostly in 0.25-0.50 range, wape at 45-60W(max)

I should prolly test out other brand stuff as im unable to tell that i am happy with geekvape stuff.

Cant be wick, as i get this problem after vaping ~20-30ml on average 50W and 200c. I use mainly SS 24/26/30awg, mostly do 5 to 10wraps depending on diameter 2mm-3.5mm. And feels like when you press fire button, id doesnt heat up that much as at very start(like when your wattage is dropped down when it overheats) but in this situation theres no warning like that. Same thing on 1batt aegis and 3batt rx.

Can it be by overtightening wire on base? I mean it doesnt snap/cut off by tightening, but could be problem with too much tightening?

Single wire builds? microcoil or spaced? Lots of variables that cause ones vape to degrade. My subohm'n went as low as .5 and not go over 30 watts. My only blind help is if your using multiwire builds then removing wraps from the screw area that can shift then cause fluctuations and inaccurate TC especially using SS as core. Maybe a couple seconds of unpowered puff after the vape helps cool the coil down so your not burning juice onto the coil, as long as your hearing sizzling after the vape thats juice cooking onto the coil.

Ill need to work harder with what i make and how i make, to understand better as youtube with reviews is pretty much scam and those liears should get charged for misleading. Like last ive bought Zeus and most Zeus reviewers take a huge load of cotton, tuck it in to the coil/without cleaning cotton leads pack in to the juice well and then shows how they chainvape for 5mins and talk how grat flavour/vape is. Then i do it as ive done with griffin/ammit - where you put cotton in to coil just as much as it touches coils-with little to none force, then work on leads - brush/trim so its fluffy and perfect for juice to go trough...yet i get no good flavor and as soon as i take 3 to 4 hits in a row, i get a dry hit. Sure, i can make/remake every day as my vape wears off faster compared to vapers who use 1-2ml per day vs my 15-20, but kinda doesnt help with my problem. Just made another zeus try 10 spaced wraps on 2.5mm coil jig ss24awg. Everything is fine(muted flavout tho vs dual coils) But with pauses between hits its vapeable and prolly after a bit of time ill have same problem where as soon as it start to change resistance on its own, ill get dry hits and powerdecrease. Just to understand - at start i vape max air open at ~50wats, when those gliches start happening i have to turn off power to around 35 and close air3/4 to somehow same vape/feeling as with open @ 50W. I could write and write about this all day long and "fix" it with more rebuilds, like i did with ammit - when it started to sip juice through after 4-6 refills, just wash it out, rewick and its good to go again for same amount of refills :)

Just wanted to know, if dna and other stuff that costs alot more than stuff i buy in gearbest, will it perform more flawless than "genuine" stuff in china shops? Most expensive stuff ive bought was sigelei 3 100 back in days for 75euro, now rx2/3 was on discount for 39euro, gen3 i ordered for 33euro... Maby just cheap stuff has same resistance problems, but many doesnt see them as they wape on pretty low wats and vape alot less than me?

other thing when i wape outside, its almost always performs great(even tho 50/50base gets alot thicker outside) Then i get inside and performance drops to half...not always, but still. Not even sure where to find described problems like i have :)

What batteries are you using? Brand, where and when you bought them. Also how many do you have in rotation and do you charge externally?
I have 2x3 Q30s(abit longer than a year) and 3xvtc4s(still kicking good, but pretty old ones around two years) charging with opus bt -c3100 v2.2

Could it really be batts? as im goin trough one set of three per day - so daily i charge 3batts

shouldnt be that bad as its ~100-120 charges per year/per battery

Most definitely can be your batteries. Where did you buy them?

So you only have 1 set of married batteries per device?

...vaping on average 50W.

Does more expensive mods perform better/last longer?
Unlike a mechanical mod, coil resistance on a regulated mod is irrelevant. What matters is the wattage setting you vape at.

The Samsung 30Q are only 15 amp continuous discharge batteries, good for up to 45 watts per single battery.

The Sony VTC4 are 23 amp batteries, good for up to 60 watts per single battery.

All of your batteries are nearing the end of their duty cycle (expected life span) of 250 - 300 charges. It may be time to get new batteries.

As a battery ages the mAh of the battery degrades, as the mAh degrades so does the batteries c rating (amp limit). So down the road, your 20A battery may only be a 10A battery.

WATTAGE PER SINGLE BATTERY:

20W-45W:

Samsung 18650 30Q, 3000 mah 15 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC6 3000mAh 15 amp CDR
20W-60W:

LG 18650HG2 3000mah 20 amp CDR
LG 18650HE2 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Samsung 18650-25R, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC5, 2600 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC4, 2100 mah 23 amp CDR
AW 18650 3000 mah 20 amp CDR
30W - 75W:

LG 18650 HD4 2100 mah 25 amp CDR
LG 18650 HD2 2000 mah 25 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC5A, 2500 mah 25 amp CDR
60W - 90W:

LG18650HB6 1500mah 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB2 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB4 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
I've used a 3-battery RX200 and a 2-battery Segelei Fuschai 213 Plus and currently using a single-battery JAC Vapour series B 75W DNA mod.

I get a full day's use with the same Samsung 30Q 15A 3000mah batteries with all three mods vaping at 30 watts. Some chips are more battery efficient than others. From my experience, I'm totally convinced that a mod that uses a DNA chip is more battery efficient than those that use a generic board.

First of all, slow down and try solving one problem at a time. Throwing a bunch of solutions at a bunch of problems might just multiply your headaches. Don't ask me how I know this...

Safety first--follow @Baditude's advice and make sure you have the right batteries for your needs. Settle for nothing less here.

If your resistance is jumping around, you are likely getting a bad electrical connection between the coil wire and the mounting posts. Heating and cooling with a hastily mounted coil will cause a not-very-good connection to get worse. A telltale sign is a resistance increase from any power-up / cool down cycle to any of the next.

Leaking in an RTA is always and everywhere a wicking problem. Except when it's a design flaw that leads to a leaking problem. If you could post a few pictures of a freshly wicked and primed build, we might have an "aha!" moment. If you take pics, try to get three. One showing it from top down, one showing from the side and the last from the end looking down the coil(s).

I bought them here - INR18650 - 30Q 18650 3000mAh 3.7V Lithium-ion Battery 4PCS-$20.38 Online Shopping| GearBest.com

SONY VTC4 from pink mule( almost three years ago o.0

So have three sets of 3 married batteries.... but seems like they are older than i tought...time flies when you vape hehee... Still vtc4 are HUGE difference in output vs 30qs both fully recharged.... so if i need batts, ill need to see wich of top 18650 these days perform as good as vt4s i have :)

So best way to test is, when new mod arrives(hopefully in next week) And if i get same glich - then its batts?! Havnt seen any glich with batts tho, as they all recharge the same...sometimes to 4.15, sometimes to 4.2V.... But you should be right as it cant be two seperate mod glich on two seperate mods.....

Thank you for great advices guys, always like to ask for solutions here!

So ill need to cash out a bit again and get fresh batteries. I wont be able to take any pics as im using cat B30, but ammit has some bad press flaw or something... i can pack cotton as much as its unable to wick and still after time will get juice/condencate aroud air control ring and a bit later all around atty on the mod, cometimes it leaks as much as floods a bit inside the gap of rx2/3. Ive had only once my own fault and real leak when all air holes got flooded, but this flooding is as many have posted here or reddit...it sips trough upper part of air control ring. And that part about A degrading on batteries i didnt know, always look for some vierdness on batts before i charge and after...but too stupid to check anything else.

Sorry about so mixed topic tho.... but LG 20A will be something close to vtc4s? I love how powerfull vtc4s are, really can feel difference in power.

About coils...i even check if they are lined in center of that gap and doesnt touch any of sides of that gap - only where it pressed by screw. And probably should get some pro mod with dna chip and see how it performs vs cheaper ones(but all this later...too much atm)

So thank you for all this info ill need to digest and pop back when new mod gets here and after i get new batteries too.

One more thing i forgot to mention. Happens with all my used tanks: Sometimes rx2/3 act strange when i put on tank and have mod set to...lets say 55W - mod fires up to 39.9W and if i hold more than few seconds it kicks me out of TC to power mode. After i unscrew tank and put it back/or loosen a bit it fires ok to those 55W.

But about batteries you are right. Atm waping @ 45W and havnt had that glich yet, so 99% that my batts have to be sent to a cell heaven :D...plus i found a cotton thats working for Zeus(forgot how its called, but its in a spaghetti like form) as koh gen do pads and bacon doesnt work on it.... so yea, my fail not trying out everything i have bough over the years.... i even wanted to try silica wicks(thats how desperate i was with zeus) :)
