The Stingray comes with a magnetic switch so that is where the magnet that's stuck to the battery came from. You'll need to get it back to where it belongs to get the Stingray to fire.
As far as the Nemesis, you only use 2 of the 4 tubes for 18650 mode. The longest piece, the one with the threads for the lock ring, and the next longest tube. The shorter extension is for 18500 mode and just the base tube for 18350 mode. The 5mm ring, sometimes called the kick ring, isn't for a kick necessarily, it's just for times when you need a bit of extra tube length either because of an atty that screws especially deep into the 510 connector or an extra long battery or both.
You assemble the Nemesis like so. First unscrew the 510 pin in the cap. Screw on atty. Screw adjustment pin back in, tight against the bottom of the atty 510 connector. Both tubes onto cap. Battery, positive end towards cap, into tube. Finally switch into bottom of tube, tight against battery. You can adjust the switch until it is tight against the bottom of the battery. Use the beauty (or kick) ring if necessary to add 5mm length to the
mod.
The Stingray assembles the same way. Depending on which manufacturer you got, there may be a separate 18650 length tube instead of a base tube + extension. The top cap has a floating 510 pin so it will adjust to the depth of the atty instead of you manually adjusting a screw like on the Nemesis. The switch, although of a different design that uses magnets, still adjusts for battery lengths.
