Absolutely GORGEOUS mod!

So many of the mods coming out of the Philipines were really ugly IMO. All full of dips and grooves... blech. But these? Man, such a thing of beauty. I would love one in black and copper and one in phantom brass. Truly exceptional mods.

I stumbled across the Black Copper edition when looking for the Phantom Brass Stingray, but couldn't find one in stock, and the pre-order would arrive sooner than the restock of the Phantom. Sooo, Nice thing about the Copper Black, the black chrome finish always looks good, no need to polish to maintain it's good looks. She looks as good in the morning as she did the previous night!! lol.

Stopped by Everett Vape today, talking to the owner, he was saying he wants a stingray, whipped out mine and said, you mean this bad boy? Kewl dude, he was drooling, , some decent gear, and there were clouds in the store by time I left, thinking it looked like rain was immanent. lol

The black finish isn't very tought. I had it in my chest pocket and it somehow got scratched. You can see a little exposed copper

That is a bummer! I have the phantom brass version and the patina has been incredible! My first day it slipped out of my jacket pocket, falling onto brick pavers from about 3 feet. Not a scratch. Couldn't tell a thing.

yeah the black chroming doesnt hold to much quite disappointing. i bought screen protectors and wrapped its now i can use it without worries but, this shouldnt be the case for a mod of this price. talked to jd about it he hid of just shrugged it off and told me it was normal.

Saw a pic on another forum where someone tried to polish a Black Copper edition and took it down to gunmetal gray.

already tried using alot of brasso on the mod to take the black off and it kinda worked soo some spots of black/gunmetal on there, thinking of using some sandpaper to take it off

I'm not impressed with the switch on the Black Copper, it's sometimes crunchy unless you push it near the center of the switch. Kind of disappointing since it got a few good reviews of the switch by Todd and PBusardo.

Maybe I got a bum switch but others have reported the same crunchy switch. The Stingray does hit nice tho.
