Ok...I'm contemplating my first chuck..was thinking of putting my business logo on it...but I'm gonna need some help with it...I only have it on a white background and well that's just too much white on a device for me...so I need help figuring out a background color that you could still pick up the image from in contrast...company colors are purple, black and silver..so I was thinking something on the grounds of a colored carbon fiber with the logo on top..so help with a mock up would be awesome..
Here's the company logo:

Drozd,

What about a black background and changing the leashes/whip/lettering to a silver color (maybe they're black/dark silver and fade to light silver as they receed? Another option might be a red background that plays off the redish/brown coloring of the hair?

I'm working on a couple items right now but wanted to throw out some ideas incase someone wanted to tackle them.

Correct, the majority of product is custom leather corsets..also some things for the alternative leather lifestyle set like restraints, collars, whips things of that nature..
Just a small little custom leather company "Toys for Tarts"

That could work changing the stylized T to Silver could possibly work..would try to stay away from the red color though..as like I said company colors are purple, black and silver..all my booth furnishings and display and everything are those colors..

Michaelle, keep in mind the Little Chuck is slightly taller than "wide" (while the regular Chuck is even taller!). Your image is a landscape orientation while the Chuck is portrait (almost square for little Chucks but still portrait). You'll probably need to consider cropping some of either side off the image (I'd personally crop the building and keep the flowers). Just my thoughts.

The biggest hurdle is the background color blending with the other colors but yet not reducing POP and READABILITY. Purple might work nicely, otherwise I'd consider some sort of radial gradient to help outlines remain visible.

nods...that's why I'm defering to someone with way more PS savy than me...well in addition to the fact that I no longer have PS..it works on white yeah...but it's not what would be my first choice for the majority of the chuck body...
Thats why I was asking about something like carbon fiber or like the colored versions of CF..

EDIT: and I'm looking for something I can use in the booth when I'm vending in some of these non smoking venues rather than have to close the booth every 30 min or so...and well even my tent..I didn't even smoke in my tent it was too expensive as far as canvas goes..

Could you do this one for me in a Little Chuck? I would like to see if it is doable.

Just so you know, the image size for a Little Chuck is 2.8 inches x 3 inches. Quite a bit would have to be taken off the sides of that image for it to work. That's fine if that's what you want, but a possible nasty surprise if it's not. :)

Drozd,
Maybe a silver background.... I'm just thinking out loud here so bear with me.... I'm picturing a "target" shape background where the concentric rings are gray gradients (i.e. light silver->med dark silver, next ring would be med silver->dark silver). Make sense? Rings that are not solid but instead fade (either in or out) so that the background is primarily silver but yet the rings are subtly visible (but not distractingly so!). This might also allow for minimizing detail loss when the logo color closely matches the background color.

I'd take a stab at it but I've got to do some real work on this:

And I also have a couple other things to tackle first. If nobody else gets it done first (Houidini, 420, Waffle, Etc....???) I'll try to take a stab tomorrow.

I was going to guess "Dominatrixes R Us." I wasn't far off.
