Aloha from Hawaii. I'm kinda new to vaping and was wondering if anyone could help me find the right build. I just picked up a hana modz V30 and I put a Stillare V2 rda on it with a single micro coil (12 wraps) 24 gauge kanthal A1 reading 0.9-1.0 ohms, but, it's not pumping out enough vapor for me. Anyone suggest any builds to crank out some clouds? Pictures and details would be great.

I've got a Cloudpor DNA 30 and a Tugboat V2 clone coming in the mail and I was planning on doing a dual coil build between 1.0-1.5 ohms. That guy RipTrippers on Youtube uses the Hana Modz DNA 30 a lot and recommended keeping in this range for flavor and vapor. This is consistent to what I have read around the forums. And anyone who has seen his videos knows he "chucks the clouds."

Yeah, he's fun to watch and learn from. I don't know, though. I currently have a single coil in there reading at 0.9/1.0 ohms and it's not kicking clouds, at all.

As far as taking a puff, are you doing like smoking a regular cig(mouthful to lung)? If so, you wont chuck any clouds close to that. I can take a hit on my build and not get the clouds if I hit it like a reg cig while running mine 70 VG/ 30 PG. Also check to make sure your battery is charged. At around 3.6 volts it should be charged.

I have found that builds in the 1.2 - 1.5 ohms range work best with the DNA 30...If you go to low then you are not getting enough volts...Also try twisting 30 or 32 ga wires together then make your build...the coils will ramp up a little faster then say 26 or 28 ga.

What exactly does twisted coils provide?

24 gauge and 26 gauge wire are too thick. It takes the wire too long to heat up. 30 watts is simply not enough power, you need a smaller diameter wire that heats up faster.

Everyone talks about a sweet spot between 1-1.5 ohms. I have found that vape isn't satisfying to me. Try 6 wraps of 28 gauge on a 14 gauge blunt tip needle. This produces a pretty good quantity of vapor with great flavor. I will fully concede that maybe I am just not skilled enough at coil building yet to get what i want from the 1-1.5 ohm coils.

Twisted wire increases the surface are to vaporize juice plus it looks pretty cool. It also affects overall resistance of the wire (lower) but you really should check out the steam link in my signature and referenced above

I just ordered some 34 gauge kanthal. Hopefully it will work out better.
