Need some Menthol help.

Hello,
New to ecigs and i have enjoyed. I bought some to try at home since i dont want smoking in my place anymore, and within a week i was ONLY using the e's and not my kools anymore. Havent even opened the last pack i bought. I just got myself one of the new v2 ex batteries, and i like it. Only thing is I cannot find a good menthol. V2's menthol options are limited, and their basic "menthol" is SOOOO mentholy, and i have not enjoyed their other two at all. I was wondering what other companies i should look at to order carts and what flavors can i try to get a more mild menthol experience? I dont really want to start filling my own, i would prefer to buy prefilled, so i suppose i need to find 808's. Would appreciate any advise, since it is costing quite a bit just to find a menthol cart i enjoy when i can only order 5 packs and havent liked any of them yet. The zig zag menthol from v2 is a little more mild, but still it is much stronger than i would like.

V2 has a universal adaptor that you can buy super cheap ($2.95) so that you can use other brands of cartridges with your V2 batteries. I can't post links yet, but look under accessories at V2, and you will see the adaptors there. Just scroll down on that page and the different brands and compatibility are listed.

I do know that BullSmoke's cartridges do fit V2 and are cheaper, but if you buy from them, don't buy their clearance cartridges. I did that, and they were obviously very old and didn't last long; however, their mint flavor was much better then V2's.

I use to be a menthol smoker and I found by Avail one called yellow snow had a nice banana menthol taste and when I wanted more of a kick i love pure ice by them also. Hope this helps a little. I am new to all this.

When I started out with vaping 3-4 months ago, I tried those "Cig-a-like" things sold in gas stations, grocery stores, ect. The were either tastless on just not satisfying. I went into a local B&M to see what they had and found a "Kit" that came with a battery, charger and a tank to put e-liquid in. That did it! They showed me how to use the set-up and let me sample some eliquids that they sold there to decide what I would like. They had a menthol in various nicotine levels so it was easy to choose that one to try. It was a lite menthol so was easy to vape all day till I ran out of that bottle.
That was the start of whats turned into a wonderful journey in vaping. It may be time for you to step up to a inexpensive kit and see if you find you like it better. Most towns has a b&M store that sells tobacco and e-cig supplies so you can look around for them. I have found most people selling those ecig kits to be very helpfull. This forum is very helpfull to new people starting out on the vaping adventure.
I looked into online e-cig suppliers after that first kit, to find different eliquids and there are a ton out there. Look under Forum Suppliers section above and you will find a lot there. MtBakerVapor was the first place I found that had a menthol I thought would be good. It was Extreme Ice. Almost took my breath away, but was good. Since then I have found milder ones. You will just have to look around and read reviews on various products to help you on your journey. You will find it a great experience!

I tried a lot of different vendor's menthol but they were all too "in your face" for me.

Maybe try mints? I can only reference Virgin Vapor as when I tried the Buttercream Mint there I was sold, but maybe other vendors have a good minty juice that will satisfy the menthol need?

first would be to lose the V2,

second in the DIY world, it is a very simple procedure to purchase menthol crystals, pure PG and make your own menthol additive.

I purchased menthol crystal on ebay, it was a 1 or 2 ounce package for $8. PG is easily available. I filled a 30 ml container with crystals, filled it to the brim with PG and you have a super additive. Threw it in there for 5 minutes, it was diluted 100%. (I do have a 3.25 gallon industrial grade unit, a normal unit may take an hour or so.)

5 drops in a 10ml container of juice gives you a mild menthol, 15-20 drops gives you intense. I give it away to friends that want menthol.

I smoked menthols for 50 years. I started vaping 2 months a go. I started out with menthol juices but now I am into fruits and bakery. I find that now I can hardly tolerate the menthol juices. Maybe you just need to branch out to some non menthol flavors for a while?

I use My Freedom Smokes online store and purchased their "Slims" e liquid. It tastes close to the Misty Menthol 120's I have been smoking for years. I think if I had gone with more nicotine it would be a lot closer but chose to only get 6 mg strength. I buy everything from that online store and have been very happy with my choices.

Can I do this same thing with VG or distilled water? Are all vendors doing this same thing to get the menthol flavor as well? Or is there a artificial menthol that they are using? I avoid artificial flavors, too many chemicals.

Pure Menthol or Ice from vapedudes.com. They also have a lot of fruity/mint flavors which I enjoy.
