Hi everyone,

I really need some help making a decision. I purchased a V-Cig system and after a week with it, I've developed a few gripes and I'm not sure what to purchase.

What I know I don't like about the V-Cig:
1 - The battery life is terrible and annoying.
2 - I feel like I'm sucking so hard through a pinhole just to get a little vapor.

What I would like in my next unit:
1 - Something cost effective, I intend to drip and/or refill my own carts with 3rd party fluid.
2 - A unit that requires a light draw.
3 - A battery that will last more than a 1/2 hour.

I think I can live with the Volcano when I'm out on the road because it's small and resembles a cigarette, however, most of my vaping is at home by my desk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Deb, I'll check it out - I can't find it in the model-specific discussion forum - is it the same/similar as another model? Also - Have you found a reliable and cheap supplier for this?

Many thanks!

i got mine at nhaler because they are in jersey....but you can get them from other vendors a bit cheaper...similar to the ego...i have both....and like them both...there is a big vape meet coming up in march...2 days...in philly...lots of fun...lots of vendors there too...you can stock up on accessories with out the shipping charges...:)

It is one of the similar-to-ego variants, should be in the model-specific areas.

Liberty-flights has them, full kit for $30 after the discount posted on their site.

Some newer rivas have been coming in with higher voltage, 3.7 tapering to 3.2, instead of the 3.2 regulated on earlier units.

Originally these new batteries were apparently in just the se version of the kit, but they may be getting into the $30 kits now (you will have to check the forum to see if this is indeed happening).

Check the l-f forum area for moore info on them.

Thanks MsOC - are these available as a kit?

V4L has many starter kit combos but none include the diamond batts, yet. And please don't get me wrong, the other batteries they sell are great too! CigEasy also sells kits, but I bought my batt and charger alacart, as I didn't want to spend the extra money on things I, personally, didn't need.

Volcano just replied to my batter complaint - little did I know, you have to wear in the switch that's designed not to be activated by loud noises or sudden movements - they say to blow in each side of the battery. Doesn't help the fact that I feel as though I'm cutting off oxygen to my brain as I'm inhaling through these!

Deb: Checking out the event details now, I'm definitely considering this!

MsOC: Separate parts is a good idea ... I'm going to do my math

unsure

i prefer the 510 connection.. ..since i love 306 attys...(same threads)...but i think the batt life is better on the riva/ego then on the 510 battery...

Your right as usual debb ;) Remember to show off your REO if you go to the PhillyFest and stay WARM! ;)
