Hi, not new to vaping. But, I don't keep up with all the latest stuff. I need to get a new tank that will work with protank 2 coils. I ususally use the 1.8 to 2.4 ohm and then adjust the battery to get the right feel.

My tank broke after a couple of years and I am now using my backup tank. I would really like to get a tank with a large capacity. My backup is 2.5ml.

Any suggestions will be investigated and the winner will receive nothing but eternal gratitude. :) Thanks.

The only tanks that I know of that are compatible with the Protank coils are Kanger's Evod (1.6ml) and Kamry's X10.

The X10 is a 4ml tank, polycarbonate and only takes the original "stubby" PT/Evod coils. It is 510 threaded like the Protank. The Evod of course is eGo threaded.

Protank II's can occasionally be found on ebay, but they're never cheap.

You should consider an upgrade. I have and still use my two PTII's on occasion, but I've moved on to Kanger's Subtank and Toptank Mini. Those can come close to the PTII with some simple adjustments.

The Innokin Prizm and Aspire Nautilus 2 are close to PTII performance but they lack the versatility of Kanger's later tanks.

Thank you for taking the time. I just knew it was that time again and was really hoping for an aftermarket tank so I could put off the inevitable for another couple of years. I hate updating. It inevitably means that I will have to get fully kitted out because a new tank won't work with my coils or my battery won't work. I have two sweet Ola 2.2T VV batts. One lasts all day. Makes for brainless vaping. For lots of folks vaping is a hobby. For me, it's all about not lighting up a Marlboro or Salem ever again. I never got excited about a bic lighter either.

I guess I will check out the other Kanger and Smoktek (they still in business I wonder?) offerings. Maybe I can just switch tank and coil and keep on with my batts.

Thanks again for helping out a grumpy ol man. Many cool points to you.

Dude ditch the protank. I realize you may have funds invested in protank coils but there is much better options these days. Lol I thought I was the last person on earth to retire a protank and that was a year and a half ago. I was away from this forum for several years just tootle puffing away on my protank and zmax at 10 watts. You can get a new setup pretty cheap and I guarantee you’ll like it much better.
Just get this setup-Smoant Battlestar mod
Price-$30-$35
Uwell crown tank Price-$15-$20
Crown .5 coils 5-pack price-$5-$10
The crown also has
1.2ohm coils and .25 ohm coils but I find the .5 coils work better and they last me more than a month per coil.
Anyway good luck and I hope whatever you end up choosing/buying gives you the satisfaction your looking for. Because as Homer Simpson says “ sir, I demand satisfaction”. Just avoid slapping anyone with a glove when saying it because it can result in great bodily harm or even death.

It's been been a while since I've used mine so if you want to PM me your address I can send you a tank and some extra glass.

If these are the right one's they are yours if you want them....

ACFB6BF5-12B4-4B35-8475-F695FA275005.jpeg This is my setup. The tank that finally wore out was bigger but of course I have no clue who made it. Bought it as the backup and liked it better because it held more juice.

My son in law vapes. He’s got huge mods and loves to cloud up the CAR and when opening the door it looks like a three alarm fire. I started when the first ecig hit the Lubbock market and learned when I popped the one and only NJoy atty that backups are a must. But I never really got into it as a hobby all on it’s own. I was just grateful for a way to get nicotine and perhaps not get cancer.

I really do appreciate everyone’s advice. I didn’t mean to come across as rude. If possible I’d cheerfully buy everyone a round.
