hope this is the right area to ask this....

basically im using the Kanger Protank and finally came time to rebuild my head, however after a couple puffs i get the burnt rubber taste. After checking it i noticed the stem end of my coil is turning red so i can only assume the taste is the rubber burning. i have tried with 32gauge kanthal as well as 34. ohms i get between the 2 are from 1.3 - 2.0 with the 32 and 2.1-2.6 with the 34 ( i have broke down and rebuilt several times now and i feel that i am wasting material). im doing about 4/5 wraps to achieve these results. I have finally got a little better performance but the only thing i have done different was folding the wick over each other so essentially im wrapping 2 wicks... however every few puffs i get that taste but then it goes away untill the next few puffs..... Anyways, jsut looking for tips or suggestions on what i can try doing to stop the positive side of the coil from turning red hot while the rest stays the same color... thanks in advance.
