need to buy a single 18650 battery for smok al85

Also want to upgrade my vtc4s for my smok alien

The best battery you can get for any device that draws less than 20A max is a 3000mah 20A battery. Sony VCT5, Sony VTC6, Samsung 30Q, and LG HG2 would be good choices.

What you buy depends on the wattage you vape at. 20A batteries are generally good up to 60 watts as a rule of thumb. If you push the Alien to max you need 30A batteries.

Be careful even with that one in a mod capable of 85w on a single battery. @Mooch rates the VTC5A at 25A. Assuming a cutoff voltage of 3.2v That Al85 is capable of demanding ~29.5A.

In my alien i dont go above 75 with my vtc 4s is that bad?

The al 85 dont think will be going higher then 40 55

If that helps i am buying a ammit 25 and im not sure what wattage I'll settle with im still new to it all

The VTC4's are good in the Alien up to ~175W. A good, easy rule of thumb is to divide the wattage desired by the number of batteries and then divide that by 3.

175 / 2 / 3 = ~29A, which is right at the VTC4's safe limit.
