Hi guys! I purchased my eGo less than a week ago, I am looking for a USB passthrough but when I was looking around I got completely lost. My first problem is I am not sure what eGo I have, whether it's a C, a twist, or even what mAH it's at :( Then to top it off, it mentions tank and other things.

I've attached a picture, it came out blurry few times, but this is as good as I can get it, hopefully you can identify what this is and recommend what I need and where to purchase this.

Lastly, I was only familiar with what V2 was selling, and that was just a USB plug with a "battery" that you can use. It looks like these are a complete replacement of the entire battery itself.. which makes me wonder why even purchase a normal battery to begin with.

Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advanced :)

Faint, a USB passthrough is a different item. Not something you need for your current ego. It is exactly what you saw, a complete battery with a usb cord that allows you to plug it into a usb port and have it (re)charge continuously while you vape.

You may want to purchase one to use if you spend a lot of time at your desk, vaping with it instead of your freewheeling ego, which you can charge up and use when you are out and about.

There are USB pass-throughs and USB pass-through batteries, but both are independent PVs.

The USB pass-through must be connected to a USB power source to have power.

The USB pass-through battery has a battery so that it can be used when it's not plugged in. The "pass-through" part means that it can still be used to vape while it is connected to USB and charging. It it lists, for example, 1000mah pass-through, then it has a 1000mah battery and can be used with or without being attached to a USB connection.

Basically, the USB enabled Ego's are not "passthroughs" they just charge using a USB cable. They have to have some charge to work, and they are using the battery's power, not the USB power to vape, so they technically are not a "passthrough"

Other than my Twist I just got, all my Ego's are USB enabled and I love them. I hate the screw in style (non-USB enabled) but unfortunately, I had to have a Twist and they only come that way, for now.

A true passthrough operates at a higher voltage, typically, and is not just a "charge while you use" style, it's a "plug in to vape" style.

To be a true passthrough, it must be vaping off the power provided by the USB connection, not the battery. Thus the term, "passthrough"
