Welcome to ECF Omar, congrats on thinking about kicking the habit. Don't be afraid of failing, at least give it a try. The biggest failure would be not to try to quit. For many here, myself included, quitting was very easy with an ecig. I did't even plan on quitting, I just wanted to cut back on my 2 pack a day habit and it was so easy, within a week and a half I wasn't smoking at all. Good luck! :toast:

Yeah try to check out some shops. When I first started, I would have two tanks, one with higher nicotine level liquid for when I was really craving a smoke, and one with lower nicotine to vape regularly. Even if you don't start vaping and immediately drop smoking, every cigarette you don't smoke will help and hopefully you'll be able to quit entirely. I went from a pack a day, down to 4-5 cigs a day, to not smoking at all. Just look at it that way, even if you don't get your vape gear and immediately drop cigarettes, just slowly work on getting off of them completely.

Hi Omar and welcome to ECF. You need to make 5 posts that are not considered 'spam'. So, welcome a few people to ECF like I just welcomed you, answer someone else's post if you have something to add, you get the idea.

So, is it easy to get e-cig gear in Egypt?

thanks a lot for your supporting post

When I started vaping my daily cigarettes declined so dramatically I decided if there was no more progress that was enough justification to simply keep on vaping. For the next six weeks I continued to smoke fewer cigarettes a day and used the time to improve devices, find flavors I liked and generally learned how to vape. Then I let my cigarettes run out and haven't replaced them. That was a month ago. Vaping removed 80% of my craving for tobacco. That was enough to resist cigarettes. In the mean time just vape and see what happens. Any reduction in tobacco is good. Just build on that and avoid anxiety.

Hi Omar, and welcome.

Give it a go. You can smoke cigarettes as well if you like. Aim to reduce your smoking, and see how it goes.

You might need quite a strong nicotine content to start with. Try looking for 18 to 24 mg/ml.

You need to find a flavour you like. You need to experiment with different flavours. There will be some out there that you like.

Thanks Omar, I tried some of the "cigalikes" first and found they weren't going to do much for my habit. The vape was just too weak. I bought the Kanger Evod starter kit from MFS and it seemed to be a natural fit for me. The vape was good and the throat hit was more like the Camel's I was used to smoking. As far as juice, I found I did not care for the tobacco flavors as much as I thought I would. After 20+ years of smoking, I was afraid to "pick" a new juice. I asked for help and was suggested to try Casablanca Blend from Backwoods Brew. I love it and it is my choice vape juice now. The trick is to find a setup that produces enough vape that you still feel like your smoking. It made the transition simple for me. I hope you can find a perfect match, Good Luck and don't give up.

edit: By the way, I am using 18mg juice. This works for me and I was a 40+ cigarette a day abuser.

to ecf Omar Mansour. So glad you are here. Not only is this the best place to find out everything there is to know about vaping but it is also a huge support group with everyone in your corner. I tried and failed so many times. Most have. I did all the gums, patches, and medication also. Vaping was the only thing that I ever tried that actually made me a non-smoker. It still sort of amazes me everyday what vaping has done for me and so many others. I look forward to reading about your vaping success and don't hesitate to ask anything at all because there are some wonderful people here that want to help. I know. . . I was new once. Good luck to you.
