Need to tone down TA??

Tried to mix a tobacco menthol mix. Used PA, TA and Menthol Eucalyptus. Mixed at 70& TA and 30% Menthol E. Total flavoring was 30%. 50/50 pg to vg. The TA in the mix seems to be overpowering, should I add more Menthol E. or something else to smooth out the TA? Thanks.

Whats the PA and TA? Perfumer's Apprentice tobacco Absolute? 30% menthol? Everything seems over powering. Even the 30% total flavoring to PG/VG. When I make a tobacco methol mix, depending on the flavoring type, the tobacco is less than 7% total volume and menthol is less than 3% total volume. Anything more is way to powerfull.

I use 1 'drop' of .1 pure TA, 3% DK Base, 4% M-Type, and 3% menthol to the total volume.

Your recipie would blow my head off.

Did you use a pre-diluted TA? Straight TPA TA should be pre-diluted with PG or PGA and then used in very small %'s in your liquid.

Used ta blend from PA. I think the TA is diluted to 50% with some EM and PG added. Thanks.

That's stuff is a bit easier to work with but still very consentrated. Just to give you an example, I dilute TPA TA at roughly two drops in 10ml of pg and then use it at 5% to 7% in a liquid. From your op you are using the 50% TA dilution at 21%, sounds like way too much for my taste

Your percentage is extremely high! Try 1drop TA blend per ml and 1% menthol. You can easily increase flavor if needed. Always start @ 1% with tobacco flavors and adjust from there. Good luck!

That's way, WAY too much TA. Like, 100x too much.
