Gee, how surprising to discover I had it wrong all along. I thought it was a good thing for the vaping to be optimized, ie, the more vapor production the better. Now I find out you don't want too much vapor! Lot's of vapor = bad. We must minimize the vapor production as it would cost too much. Can't use up too much juice! lol.

Man now I'm really confused. So, you get more flavor and throat hit from a device or atomizer/tank that produces less vapor. So, less vapor is better?

And all those guys/gals lovin' their Reos, Mechs, RBA's, etc., that laugh at our PT2's, iclears, and assorted juice tanks that produce such pitiful clouds of vapor are actually sacrificing flavor and throat hit? When you go to all that trouble to produce huge clouds you're really getting less flavor and throat hit?

Damn I wish someone would enlighten me.

I'm going to be reviewing the iClear 30 next, but just like everyone, I also like to be budget minded and I'm not a fan of taking the plunge on something that simply doesn't work (unless it's a freebie!) What does everyone here think of the iClear 30? Do they wick well? Do they give any funky tastes? Do they have any major defects or worries?

Thanks for your input! It's really appreciated!

This is a very good question. When I bought an iTaste SVD and an MVP they both came with the iClear 30. They were not performing well and I never really like them at all. I supposed I got spoiled using the Kanger Protank and Anyvape Davide. Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to acquire an iTaste VTR. It came with the new i Clear 30s. For me, this really beats the Protank I, II and Anyvape Davide. Today my iTaste 134 arrived. It came with the old iClear 30. I decided to experiment with one my iClear 30's. The first step I did was to drill 2 more air inlets of the same size as the original on the base above the threads. The next step, I replaced the top silicone top seal from the new iClear 30s. Wow, it works just as good as the new iClear 30 and perhaps a shade better. No more gargling, no leaks from either ends, juice coming out of the mouth piece and it wicks very well and the draw improved quite a bit. So, if you guys have some old iClear 30, don't throw them away. Try duplicating my experience. You'll like it.

Honestly, I once ran across a CE4 that gave me a lot of flavor luck for a day, and it ate through the juice like crazy, it also caused a lot of condensation in the tank. But this is actually what you want (unless it's a plastic-reaction cloudiness). See, in a working tank, the holes where the wick sits in should be microscopically just big enough to let juice flow onto the wick (silica just doesn't not "soak" up juice in a way where it travels vertically or horizontally - there really has to be a ton of juice flowing onto the wick for this to happen) and allow just enough air into the juice chamber to cause pressure which will help that juice push into the microscopic gaps that should be there on a working device. I had an amazing vaping experience that day with the device that ate up my juice and caused my tank to look like a window on a winter car. Don't worry about tanks that eat up juice - if they give a great flavor, you got something that luckily works, and when it works, it will eat through the juice. If your problem is simply spending a little bit more on juice, you have a curse that actually is a positive compared to the experiences many users are getting on their burnt-up devices. When the wick barely absorbs your juice, it won't use much of it, but you'll get a really bad taste very quickly. Those wicks truly need to be saturated to keep the coils cool and to keep the vapor rich, flavorful, and full - you'll get a better performance out of a high resistance coil that is positioned around a really saturated wick, than a low resistance coil wrapped around a wick that's simply not getting enough juice.

And sadly, the factories seem to be churning out devices that have lost the microscopic perfection that allows a balance between leaking, wicking, and no wicking.

I liked the iClear 30, however the seal at the top of the head, specifically where the silicone gasket above the wicks meets the drip tip, needs improvement. I find that it often does not line up perfectly and will result in leaking if you place the vaporizer on its side or tilted at a downward angle. I'm switching to the Aspire BDC Vivi Nova Pyrex tank however. No leaking issues, no wicking issues, no tank cracking, just as good for vapor production and flavor. I'd like Innokin to come out with pyrex tanks because I do like my iClears.

I'm happy with my Iclear 30. Got two 30's and two 16's. Actually, I like them both. Good taste, nice vape. Using them both on an Itaste MVP. But they also work great on my Jiksu. The 30's are a bit difficult to store but found a nice solution for that :)

Good tank but with drawbacks of any top coil. Doesnt seem to have as warm a vape as vivis which is a good thing for me. Agree with the comments about juice guzzling. I seem to use double the liquid than with bottom coil. I prefer glass tanks also but the 30 has pretty good flavor and ive been enjoying it since i got my mvp over the weekend.

iclear30-S offers a very warm vape, but the draw is closer to the Protanks. Still, you get just as much, if not more flavor/vapor production as the original iclear30.

When I got a copy of an Innokin MVP that came with 2 i Clear 30's and afterward I got another one with my SVD. I didn't like them at all and put them away. It also came with the 134. I've always prefer the Protanks and Anyvape Davide. When I got my VTR things got better. It came with the new i Clear 30. This new tank, to my surprise, is as good or better than the Protank and the Davide. The improvement is on the top silicone rubber seal. The orifice is larger than the old i Clear 30 and is not too thick on sealing area. I was going to give away the old tank atomizers, but my friends most likely hate me for them. I decided to do some modifications on the old i Clear 30's. I changed the top seal with the seal from the new i Clear 30s and drilled 2 more air inlet hole on the 510 base. I believe I now have the best i Clear 30. It is much better than the new i Clear 30. I also found that it should be screwed on medium tight to the APV to prevent any leaks and gargling.

I have used iClear 30 for six months and really like it. Good vapor and taste. I love the tilting drip tip. My only problem was that flavour would go off if the tank got too low so I would keep it at 2ml or higher, never lower. I bought a 30s this week and I am well impressed. More flavour, easier draw and more vapor than I need or want. I use it on an MVP so I have turned it down to 3.5 volts and the vapor is just right. Biggest difference is the flavour does not go off when the tank is low. I am enjoying it so much today I have overdosed on nicotine and had to stop. I got the old one down to 12mg on the I want to vape as much as I like but I don't want too much nic calculation. I have got through 5 ml of juice today so I have to agree it is thirsty on juice..... I wonder if other people are finding the vape so good that the are using it more like me.

As others have touched on it is definitely a juice-guzzler, but what do you expect from a dual-coil design? There are twice as many coils producing vapor so it only follows logically that it would consume juice approximately twice as fast as a comparable single coil design.

Anyway, the i30 is a beast. I've put it through the full range of power available to the SVD, and even at 15 watts it did get a bit too warm for my preference, but was still not burning the liquid. I love my protanks, but I definitely can't crank them up that high.

Vapor production is ridiculous, flavor has been very satisfying. I do wish it had a looser draw. I fancy an airier draw than some and this is a little too tight for me.

Honestly, if it had a replaceable (not just removable) drip tip and a Pyrex tank then it would probably be my favorite clearomizer. I understand the new i30S has such a drip tip but is sadly still clad in polycarbonate.

Anyway, I'm usually not a fan of top coil designs but this tank is making me re-evaluate that preference. I really like it.
