whats the pros and cons of getting the liquids and refilling your own compared to a cartomizer? is it cheaper to refill or what? better vape?

Matt, I'm sensing a little confusion in this post. In case you are unaware, you CAN refill cartomizers. I use cartomizers on my Riva (and all my other devices for that matter). I buy boxes of empty ones and put my own juice in them.
It's easy. There's a couple ways to do it. Just go to you tube and search "filling cartomizers".
I find them easier to use than a cart and atty, they hold a lot more juice and I like the flavor and hit from them better.
If you get a Riva you'll get a couple attys with your kit so just pick up a box of 5 cartos for 8 or 9 bucks and you'll have both and can decide for yourself.

I just bought the starter kit, that is the only thing i bought, so what else should i buy. and as far as flavor, i see a few different places. What do you guys suggest me trying first to get close to the taste of a grape cigarello?

I think you'll be happy with the Riva Matt, my husband is getting one too and he's a cigar smoker only he likes full flavored cigars no fruit flavor added. I definitely would get some e juices in 0 MG and maybe get some in 6 mg or 11 mg just in case you find yourself missing the nicotine. I don't recall seeing you mention how much you smoked, is it a daily thing for you? If so 6-11mg might do the trick of course if you can go days with one then 0 MG is the only way to go. Welcome to the board!

i smoke a cpl times a week, but when i get them i will get like 2-3 at a time and smoke them, when im really craving that flavor.

I have seen people saying different things about the juices. I want to get very close to a grape cigarello, so what does everyone think that I should get as far as the flavor? Do i need to get straight grape, or mix it with others?

The Riva has a 510 connection so any 510 atomizer, cartomizer or cartridge will fit it.
