Hello!

I've been using an E-Cig for about 2 months now and I find I like the flavors of some but don't get that wonderful feeling of drawing it into my throat from them - they're too light. I'm currently using Vermillion River's Cherrywood and LOVE the taste. Is there something I can add to get that glourious throat-kick I'm missing?

Thanks for Your Help,

Evilene32

I'm currently using an E-Go style battery and 20mg nic. I'm told that the VG also can contribute but I'm already at 70PG/30VG on that.

For 20mg the mg in the nic should be strong. Take a look of the carto atty you are using. This is weird.. But yes like evilene32 menthol mention that adding some menthol should do the trick

Is nic really the only way to increase throat hit? What does one do when they want to decrease their nic levels. Would like to eventually be at 0%, but don't want to leave the throat hit behind.

If you buy a juice at your selection of 0-36mg and let say you buy at 36mg nic strength then you found out is to great i mean the throat heat just add Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerine with 0mg and usp grade and add in to decrease the Nic MG down. If you make your own liquid that is a different story as all been customized by you. You need a calculator for that as well . I use E-Liquid Calculator - An easy way to mix your own E-Liquid

What device are you using? Higher voltage and lower ohms (more watts) will give you a better throat hit. Higher PG content and a higher mg nic content will increase it some.

Agree. Something like a 306 cisco at 1.5ohm's will give a great throat hit. I'd stick to dripping though (why I'd recommend the 306's). Best throat hits I've ever found. And I stick with 24mg liquids.

There are many vapers who use 36mg nicotine strength for better throat hit. I would at least up it to 24mg. But the other problem is that the eGo has the smallest voltage battery on the market at only 3.4 volts. Warmer vaper from higher voltage batteries does enhance throat hit, somewhat. (most TH comes from higher nicotine).

I would look at a good 5 volt model PV, such as the GLV2 or a good variable volt/watt model PV as well as up the nic strength. BTW, additives to eliquid do not provide increased throat hit associated with nicotine. If they did, almost everyone would be using it and it wouldn't be a secret.

If you really want to vape 0 nic eliquid, you better get use to no throat hit.

Apparently I have no idea what throat hit/kick is, because menthol does the exact opposite of what I thought it was.

No, you're right. Throat hit from nicotine and the typical cooling sensation you get from menthol is two different things. For some, the feel of menthol is a plus and that sensation is all they need. But it's not throat hit in the manner provided by nicotine.

For myself, I have had great results by adding several drops of Golden Grain or Everclear to my juices. This helps thin them a bit (100% VG) and gives a little thump to your throat. Try it with a small amount of liquid to see what you think. Be sure to shake it up *really* well because it will separate slightly.
