Nemesis and Atomic RDA build recommendation for flavor! PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some recommendations for builds I could do on Atomic rda.


I am very excited to receive my first rda and I cannot wait to build some coils I am a huge flavor person and I WANT TO VAPE SAFE, but I was not sure what to build and what is out there.

Things I currently have:
Nemesis, Atomic RDA, 18650 AW IMR battery, 28g kanthal, 1/8 drill bit, a needle tip, cotton

EDIT: I can go out and purchase drill bits and etc so I welcome any coil builds and please don't limit to what I can do with above materials

You should list your battery's mah rating so we can know the amp limit. Higher mah is not necessarily better. With AW's, the 1600 mah is the one you want for sub ohming as it has an amp rating of 24amp continuous.

Second, do you plan on sub ohm? If so, I suggest reading through the microcoil thread and the "post pictures of your working coil setup" thread. I would guess that had you checked those two threads out, many of these questions would've been answered already.

To actually answer your question though, the atomic has a great platform for flavor. Small chamber and deck size mean better flavor generally. I personally build low sub ohm, in the .25-.35 range. My typical flavor build is either dual coil 26 gauge kanthal wrapped 6 times around a 5/64th drill bit equaling .32-.34 ohm or a two strand twisted 28 gauge dual coil wrapped 5 times around a 5/64 drill bit equaling about .35-.37.

Many will tell you that the twisted wire coils will create more flavor due to the fact that it has so many nooks and crannies for juice to atomizer from while also having much more surface area.

I am sorry. I am still very new to sub-ohm, coil build, use of battery for vaping, many things

My battery has 2000 mAh and would that be fine for sub-ohm? even to your preferable low ohm level (.23 - .25)? I just feel a little scared. So is going that low really better that vaping with .5 - .8 ohm on a mech mod?

I would like to reach an advanced level but, at this point, I don't have a drill and can't afford one yet so I would like to wrap a wire and stick it in the RDA.

I understand that twisted coil has more surface area and deliver better flavor. However, is there a coil build that is simple yet creates an awesome flavor?

The 2000mah I think is safe at 8 amp or so which is good to .5 but that's at the very limit. I wouldn't go lower than .8 and even there you won't have much battery life.

Check out the sony VTC 3,4, and even 5. There is also the Efest 1600 mah that's basically a VTC 3.
