Maybe it's just me but my nemesis is much smoother and seems to make perfect contact every time when I use the included spring as opposed to the magnet upgrade.

Maybe I got some bum magnets?

I dunno, but as soon as I got my Nemi, I put the magnets in without even a thought. I dropped it yesterday, and a magnet shattered. After a search of the local Home Depot, I put the stock spring in....and I like it better!!!

Anyone else?

I did the same thing when I received my Nemi clone, threw some magnets in there. I also find the switch to be more finicky and crunchy now. Supposedly, my magnets were made to fit the Nemi, but it doesn't seem like it. I may go back to the spring as well.
I think its just the Nemi. I had magnets in my M16 and it worked great, until I dropped it and shattered them. With the spring back in the M16 its working fine too.

Tear it apart and lube the rice pin a little. I used dialectic grease. Make sure you have the beauty ring removed as well so the throw is shorter. This will help smooth out the button. It also takes some time for a Nemesis button to break in with spring or magnets. Also, a side note... magnets in a copper mod, not the best idea unless glue them in place (one of my duh moments in life).

With my Nemesis I never saw the point of magnets. The button worked fine. It was never crunchy and always had a perfect 2mm throw. Don't try to fix what isn't broken.

One thing I have noticed over the months of talking to a wide variety of users is almost every single person who has problems with the button is also using flat top batteries. I think the little 1.5mm button on top makes all the difference between a perfect fit and operation and a crunchy button. Specifically the button works great if the pin is nice and tight, but with a flat top battery it's often necessary to loosen the pin slightly to get the fit right, and when the pin is loose the whole button can wobble and shift around.

Anyways, that's my theory on the button problems. As to magnets vs button... I think that's more of a personal preference rather than a functional difference. Assuming everything else is equal you really shouldn't notice any difference between them.

Yeah I think it's pretty much what everyone has said, it ain't broke don't fix it. I'll be sticking with the stock springs.

Also FYI everyone...I use it in 18350 mode with no kick (so no beauty ring) and I have 4 batteries that I rotate....2 button tops and 2 flat tops. As far as I can tell there is no difference between them besides the mod being 1.5mm longer when the button top is in, simply because the end can't thread on as far.

I've used them both ways.
A binding switch will be a problem either way. Magnets simply eliminate the non uniform compression of a spring.
They also will last much longer than a spring if not Broken.
Most Nemesis switch problems are from the Rice pins fit. Several replacements using other materials/diameters have resulted in perfect switch function.
