Just got my Nemesis Clone. Built with a single coil at .74. This thing hits hard but I'm getting little vapor production. Is something wrong or should at I look at a 100% vg juice or something.

Oh gee, that's odd, I coil my RSST for .7 on a Nemesis and I get pretty good vapor production and flavor. My DIY juice is 60% PG / 40% VG, and I'm not blowing wall clouds by any means, but it's plenty for me. What kind of atty are you using? How is it set up? I very much doubt it's the mech that's the issue, it's getting the power out and that's the end of it's job.

It's an Igo w single coil 28 ga kanthol wire . The guy at the shop recommended I drill out the air holes on the atty.
As a test I threw both Iclear tanks I have and they hit fine. Will drilling out the air holes soften the hit a little?
are you putting the air hole as close as possible to the existing coil?
Also if the top cap has a hole on each side (as you would need were it set up with 2 coils) are you blocking the hole (bit of tape) on the side without a coil?

I am putting the hole closest to the coil and not blocking the one on the other side.
Start by trying to block the one away from the coil. With only a single coil you do not need the 2 holes.
It really sounds like an airflow problem so lets troubleshoot it. You need alot of airflow right at the coil not on the backside.

block one hole and bore the other out with a 5/64 drill bite. thats how i run my .6+ singles when im doing lung hits. airy but not to airy
3MM airhole works fine as well, just work your way up until you find what you like.

Got better flavor and not as harsh as a hit by blocking the opposite hole. Do you think drilling out the hole on the coil side will make a difference?
Yep keep the back side/away from coil hole blocked and drill out the one hole you are using as Sawtooth said. Even a small change in hole size can make a big difference so go a little at a time.

With a Non AFC dripper, you need to be careful about drilling - There is no going back.
Also once drilled, you will need to maintain similar coil resistances for best performance.

My Igo-W has really small holes - even at 1.5 ohm single coil use I couldn't get a good result. My solution was to buy an Igo-M, which has tons of easily adjustable airflow and works great, but if I were to stick with the W I'd definitely drill out the air hole on the coil side and block off the one opposite.
Like everyone else says, go slow - you can't undrill a hole if you open it too much.

Sounds good. I'll have to go thru my drill bit collection and see how small of a bit that I have and toss it on my drill press.
I also plan on going dual coils soon. I just wanted to get used to the way a mech hits
WHen you do you will want to drill out the other hole as you will have a coil on each side.
Stock igo-w's have very very small airholes, mine are 3/32 each and its perfect to me.
do yourself a favor. get yourself an IGO-L clone from fastech and use the top on your igo-w for when you're doing single coils. you'll appreciate having a top around that's right for the build. or at least, i do.
I went to dual coils for a little. Im a single coil guy. the .4 braided 28ga coil I have performs better then my dual coils ever did. Plus I hate making them
