They tighten and fire fine nothing loose or spinning like its stripped . There is just a gap between the bottom of the tank or atty and the top of the mod. I have a trident RBA , a Ibtanked carto tank, and Valley View Vapor carto tank, I also have a couple other RBA's that I'm not sure the makers.
I didn't see any kind of obstruction in or on the threads. It seems like its just short or not enough threads for them to screw all the way down.

The nemesis and clones have a silver plated thumb screw in the top cap. The way I assemble it is I remove the atty base /top cap from the mod, back the thumb screw out, screw my atomizer in flush, tighten nemmy thumb screw, screw atty base + atty assembly back into the nemesis body, then tighten the bottom button snug to the battery.

Edit: just saw your last post. Yeah your threads on the atty or atty base may be boned :(

Not to worry, some seem tight at first. My RSST was also stubborn.
There are only 2/3 threads on the Nemesis top.

With top off mod, grip nemesis top and tank. Twist in with pressure and back out. Do this a few times and the tank should seat. Maybe just use a carto so you don't have a spinning issue.(Carto tanks)
Once one fits, all should. Tightening may slightly press the Delron back from the threading. This is okay.
