So, I want to start using my Nemesis again. I haven't used it about 2 months, it has been sitting in my vape gear tackle box. My problem is the bottom assembly. when I try to adjust the bottom assembly I only loosen the button, not the whole assembly. The problem is the inner adjustment screw is "cleaner" and unscrews much easier than the bottom assembly. How do I clean and grease the lower assembly to allow it to make adjustments without having to disassemble the whole thing and use tools to get the lower piece out of the tube? I have petroleum jelly to lube the threads, but it's still sticking.

It's a common misconception but the inner screw on the switch isn't supposed to be adjustable. It's supposed to be bottomed out and torqued down to prevent it from loosening back up.

You shouldn't need any adjustment. Everything should be snugged up. There are only 3 battery lengths it was designed to work with for correct stack-up: 35mm, 50mm, and 65mm (18350, 18500, 18650). Any deviation from that intended design (like adding a kick without the kick extension tube, or vice versa), is usually when people start making "adjustments" that were never intended.

Yeah, the proper order is this: after you fully seat your atty onto the top cap so that it's sitting flush (you may have to back the Nemesis' top pin away some), then screw the top pin tight up against the atty's 510 screw. Then screw the top cap onto the tube, slide your battery in, then screw the switch all the way in until it's pushed up against the battery. I've only used button top 18500's in mine (with the shorter tube setup of course), and they had no issues with everything snugged up tight. There isn't ever any adjustment needed. Snug it all up tight and it should work no matter which battery config you choose to use.
