I researched when I bought the nemesis some time ago but a bit nervous after reading about the dude who blew out his mouth on some other sites while using a mech. Yes I do have an idea as to why it happened. Been using primarily reg mods but coming back to the nemesis with my magma. Got magma because non adjust 510. Assuming I build responsibly, adjust to rta properly and use good batteries, I'm good to go with my incoming velocity? Sorry but a bit paranoid after seeing that report.

Not sure what the question is;

if the question is whether you are safe,
the answer is

you are as safe as your knowledge of what you are doing.

with the nemesis as with many other mechs, you adjust the topcap centerpins to fit your tank/topper, then screw the two of them together onto the rest of the tube.

the main safety issues are your choice of battery, and the condition of the battery - bottom switched mech depend on the battery wrapper being intact.

I had a nemi with a hybrid cap short on me. I was my fault for not triple checking the taifun pin, it was too flush and shorted. It did not go to the extreme just got warm and deformed the battery. Now when I felt the heat I knew what I did and twist the body once to loosen and tossed it across my yard, lol.

To me doesn't matter how long you vape, when you get complacent things can and will go wrong. I also see (in my opinion) that some of these regulated mods are no safer than a mech.

Regulated gives some people, not all, a false sense of security. Electronics fail, fail safes fail, fuses fail, in short things can go wrong. One has to be vigilant no matter what device is used.

Safest way to vape with an APV is to learn as much as you can. Know your batteries, your Atty, your ohms, your device, and don't push it beyond the limits.

I have a small note book, cheap leather bound and fits in my back pocket. I write down what coil builds I like, juices, and any info I find interesting and/or important. It's a little cheat book, I even keep the ohms law calculations in it, just in case I don't have my phone around and want to know something.

In having said all that, I still use my nemi from time to time. If it was damaged though I would have tossed it like I did the battery. Inspect your gear, know your limits, and you'll never be 'that guy'.

You have to be honest with yourself to be safe with a mechanical.

Most people like to think of themselves as educated vapers, when they honestly don't understand what's happening when they press the fire button.

Mechs are for advanced users with knowledge of how to use the device safely.
If you have to ask, you probably aren't an advanced vaper, and should learn a bit more before buying a mechanical.
