OK, thanks for all the help guys. I will try all of the above. BTW - It is squonking fine, at least plenty of juice is going upstairs. Plenty of juice up there, as I've flooded it several times trying to troubleshoot.

I am not ruling out user error by any means, but is it possible my RM2 is a dud, or possibly needs repair? Just wondering, because I've got 2 Kayfuns, a Kayfun Lite, a Taifun GT and an IGO W, all of which I've managed to coil and wick without issue. I'm not new to rebuildables, just to Reo's.

Thanks!

I don't know but if you use a 5/32 drill bit to build your coil, isn't that a little too big ? That's like 4mm in diameter. I usually only uses 1/16 or 5/64 that's only 1.6 - 2.0 mm in diameters for my micro coils . Your coil looks really "fat' compare to mine . Just my 2 cents . Good luck !

Now that I think about it, that would also be a hell of a lot of cotton in there... Or... Not enough?

Was just comparing my 2.0 to a 4.0 mm drill bit. 003.jpg Big difference in size !

Here are my 2 cents and what's gives me a very satisfying vape on my RM2 and VA Cyclone
1. Wrap around a 1/16 or 5/64 bit as recommended above
2. Try an ugly spaced coil... you can do 6 wraps for about 1 ohm
3. Bring you coil to the outer edge of the deck and ensure it's right near the airhole.
4. Use less cotton with short legs and just enough to reach deck near the squonk hole

I believe you are NOT getting enough air in to cool your coil thus causing the dry hits (burnt taste). Just make sure your coil is NOT touching the RM2 cover either.
