Bored tonight, so I've just been looking up different sweeteners. I found this one that seems to be somewhat new to the artificial sweetener market. It's called neotame and it's apparently 700-13,000 times sweeter than sugar (in comparison sucralose is apparently in the 200-600x range)

I have no idea if this would even be worth considering for use in vaping (probably not). So im just hoping someone with more knowledge in this area could fill me in on why or why not this could be used for vaping. I've done some Google searching and haven't found much useful info. Only stuff I do find is wayyy over my head and would need a doctor or something to understand.

Kinda just curious about this neotame stuff. Would not recommend using it for vaping unless there was some evidence it was safe to use, but it might be fun to at least discuss and learn about. The strength of its sweetness is what really catches my attention most. If it were able to be safely vaped, I would assume an extremely small amount would go a loooong way.

It sounds like it. I stay leery of sweeteners that are new, though. I have no idea what it would be like to vape. As a "reluctant" sweetener, I know what sucralose is like, I've used it in many applications besides vaping, and I kind of trust what it will do. I rarely use more than a few drops in any case, but this certainly is interesting. Thanks for sharing it :)

Yeah no problem haha! I tried to make my post as reluctant sounding as possible haha, don't want anyone jumping the gun and thinking it is safe to use.

After some more research this neotame seems to be somewhat similar to aspritame which is not good for vaping. Not sure how similar it is exactly but the stuff I've read always mentions both. Once I get home I'm gonna go full CSI and maybe put together as much info as possible to share with everyone here, so if anyone else wonders about this for.use in vaping there will be some easy to find info on it. I don't mind doing the foot work haha, this type of stuff is super interesting to me.

I think what you will find is that Aspartame (besides Rotting your Brain - LOL) is Not very Heat Stable. So Neotame was developed to fill a void when Thermal Breakdown would occur.

Not to say if Neotame will Rot your Brain also. Dunno?
