Flying out of a small commuter airport in North Carolina. I am so worried that they are not going to have a clue what a PV is and that something heinous is going to be done to all of our hardware. Is anybody else from a small town and had to fly out of that town? I am wondering if I should just call the airport ahead of time and find out if we are going to have an issue. We are going to be in Mexico for a week. I cannot imagine anything worse than going on our vacation and having our PVs confiscated!

Relax. I fly regularly and International at least twice per month. Pack liquids in your carryon in a 1qt palstic bag with your other liquids. Place batts in purse or carry on. TSA has seen these things and if questioned just show them what it is. I travel with 4- Ego/Riva batts, 2 Darwins and a Super-T P-10. I have been through hundreds of checkpoints and have only needed to show what they are twice. Once in China at a small airport wondering about the Darwins and once in the Nethrelands just because two security members were interested if e-cigs work. I gave the Dutch authorities a demonstration and they took notes on what and were to buy. Happy travels

Whew...thanks. Only have a month under our belts and are not travelling until November. Even with just a month, neither my husband nor I can see going back to analogs. By the time we travel in November we will be four months in. We are upgrading when we get paid this coming Friday. I guess I should have realized that the federal government is going to make sure that TSA agents are educated about anything new that they can expect to see amongst travellers. I know that e-cigs aren't new, but they are uncommon here. Hardly anybody we encounter even knows what they are. Thanks again for the advice. I feel much better! :D

No problem if you have any questions as your trip nears just PM me. If you can believe this E-cigs are even more uncommon China and that is where the mass produced ones are made. I have made several visits there this year and have even been in Shenzan (the e-cig manufacturing hub) and have never seen another vaper. Hell all my many hosts never even saw a e-cig before and they all smoked cigs.
