Thanks all,

Yes I actually did want everyone's opinions even if they are different, it helps to know how everyone handled switching to vaping an how they did during stressful times :)

I called my sis to find out if she's catering there at the coliseum (She lives on the property) or if it's off-site today. She will be on site today so the plan is:

I'm leaving them at home and if I feel I absolutely need a cig I can call her. It may take her 10 to 15 minutes to be able to run one over BUT in that 10 to 15 minutes I can decide if I still think I must have it and if not then she wont leave one.

This way it's less of a temptation as they aren't within reach and yet if I just can't cope (I'm sure I'll be able to...I've done it before) then it's just a call away.

Well off to babysit, I'll let ya know how it goes tonight when I get home.

Hope it works for you. Don't quit quitting!

My favorite stories are the ones that go something like "Hey! I forgot to smoke yesterday!" lol. Don't sweat the small stuff. It does help to set a goal. If you end up doing too many "clever" things, it will become a hassle. So...take it easy and just quit the way that works best for you. :)

It could be that the security of having them with you as a back up will empower you NOT to smoke them.... ;-)~ If you must, then don't beat yourself up over it. You are moving in the right direction if you are avoiding more cigs than you are smoking. Just keep moving in the right direction ....... ;-)~

I feel your pain, I have just quit a couple of days ago and I still think about having a cig every now and then. I bought a pack of them that were not my brand (usually camel menthols, bought marlboro ultra lights), and if I really want a cig I have t o think about whether or not I really want a nasty tasting cig or a decent juice to use. Also, it helps condition me on how bad cigs really taste.

You guys know....

You have to push through tobacco withdrawal...even with vaping. Some have little to no cravings. Others of us pushed through it. It gets easier as you detox. Some detox slowly, others just "cut tobacco off". There's 7,000 chemicals in tobacco. Nicotine is only one. So....

Lasted 2 weeks for me. You'll get through it one time or another. And it gets easier every time you try and every day you go.

Didn't want to hit you with that right off, but this last post....I wanted to encourage you by letting you know what you are facing and that IT WILL PASS.

I had a half pack when I started vaping. Gave them away.

Just got to condition your self. In my case if I had them I thought about it more. I have left my PV at home and went to work for 10 hours and it didn't bother me a bit. I vaped through a tank when I got home though :(

Also; Truthfully. Cigarettes, vaping, chew or how ever you choose, isn't a -need- Your body is so used to it and developed addiction that it seems like I need. If i'm in a area where I couldn't smoke or now can't vape; Cause I still don't vape around my wife and son, I take a deep breath and remind my self it isn't something I need its something I want.

I'm still real new to this, but I but one in a stainless steel cigar tube and I carry it in my purse. I've had lots of reasons to use it but never the desire to use it. Maybe it is not there for emergencies but there to remind me. Things that make you go hummmmmm? Good luck with the children. Who can doubt God's wisdom when there is such a thing as menopause. bahahahahaha

Ok time for an update for everyone now that I'm home.

I did GREAT!!! I did leave mine at home knowing I could call my sis if absolutely needed. I made it till about 1pm before I thought I was going to come unglued, 1 of the boys decided that he was going to argue over what was made for lunch even after I gave them 3 choices and let them choose, made what they said then he tried telling me that's not what he said he wanted. That was about 12:30 and I went outside and vaped and vaped some more, went back in only to see him dumping the food into the trash and demanding something else

Deep breath, count to 10..nope still ticked off...deep breath again count backwards from 10 ok a little better but still really think I want a smoke and a 5 minute break. I was so ticked off at that point I was in tears (yes I cry when I get really really ticked off) so I called my sis, knowing I was that ticked off she came over right away and handed me a cig.

I looked at it, looked at her, handed it back and asked her to light it. She looked at me like I had lost my mind but did it and she took a drag off of it. Apparently I wrinkled my nose as I told her never mind and reached for my e-cig and told her never mind I didn't want or need it after all! She started laughing at me, called me a goof for calling her over an then not wanting it, gave me a hug and told me good for me.

I'm kind of bouncing off the walls right now but hey it's a big step :)

I concur with Atty on this one :) Just do it the way you wanna do it and don't stress over it, I think stress can lead to failure so don't sweat the small stuff and as for the boys...velcro, that's all I'm saying! ;)/QUOTE]
Duct tape can work too but don't take pics so there's no evidence. LOL
