why worry? =D

i think i had some small apprehensive moments... first time going out with the smokers... first time having a beer... each time, i held on to my ecig, and found it just as pleasurable if not more so, and felt a little bit proud of myself each time.

hang in there, it keeps getting better and better! =D

Good for you!! I still had one pack left and smoked them, one here, one there until gone. Had absolute panic at first being without! Was using Flings to get over the hump, still have slight cravings here and there, since I received my Halo though, I have little to no desire to smoke an analog at all, flavor is SO much better and I just smell like my perfume and not an ashtray. Just hang in there, it does take time, just go at your own pace shortly you will join the rest of the happy Vapers that made the switch and stayed

Hang in there. I was inching my way back up to 2 packs a day when I stopped. I started vaping over a weekend and only had 3 stinkies the following week at work. The last stinkie was June 19. I put away my zippo and gave away the fluid. I replaced that "empty" spot in my front pocket with a nice little pocket knife. It was habit to feel to make sure I had the zippo.

Dont worry about it... it's different for everyone. It was about 7 months from my first vape to the point where i stopped smoking completely and changed to 100% vaping. Some days i would only vape the equivalent of 1 analog a day, but the way i looked at it was 1 analog avoided :) Just don't put pressure on yourself and ease into it if you need to. During the time you are trying to move over to vaping, if you still have the odd analog dont see it as a failure, just keep seeing the positive side of things - that you are cutting down.

Good luck :)

Well, so far so good. Been a week and a half and all is good. Got some different kinds of E-juice to break it up and I have dropped the analogs completely, was difficult at first but I told myself to let it go and stuck with it.

Thanks everyone!!

You are doin great :) - you've taken the first few steps to a healthier future. Keep posting your latest victories over analogs and you will receive tremendous support from ECF members.

One step at a time and don't look back!!!

I was a "Roll Your Own" smoker. I have two cartons of analogs made and enough bulk for six more cartons. I walk by them every day and never have the urge to smoke one. I thought I would have problems when drinking beer but never happened. I stopped analogs on day two of vaping. That has been over six weeks ago. I decided to throw them away at the one year mark.

It's different for everyone. Every one you don't smoke is a victory.

Don't worry if you slip. Just keep on vaping and hit it harder when you feel the urge for a cig. It will go away. If it doesn't, then go up in nicotine level until you find the point that keeps you from wanting tobacco. 24mg is good, but some find the need to start off with 36mg.

I went from 40 cigs a day, sometimes more, to 6 a day the first week I vaped. I continued smoking those 6 a day for two more years. I had two with coffee, one after each meal, and one before bed. One day, I decided not to buy the next pack. There was no urge, no craving, and no nervousness. I just vaped a little heavier for a week and then leveled back off.

It as much psychological as it is physical. You don't have to quit cold turkey. Just let the vape take away the cigs in its own time. I could have quit cigs the first week, but didn't know that. Still, it doesn't hurt to take away the psychological craving by having one or two a day when you are transitioning to vapor. Try giving them up after a few weeks and you might find that all you needed was your ecig anyway.

Great advice! We've all done it in our own way...I smoked for 33 yearsand was up to 1 1/2 to 2pks/day. I kinda stepped down from cigarettes...smoked full flavor while vaping 18mg. Each day that went by I smoked less and less cigarettes and vaped more and more until I was only vaping. I kept a pack of smokes around for security reasons until my 4th month. I felt at ease then. I now smoke 16mg. To each their own. Good luck to you!

The withdrawal is not as bad as you would think.
When I just started, I basically had a pack of Kent Menthol in my drawer still.
When I get of my motorcycle, the 1st thing I want to do is to take a hard smoke, and a beer. I did this every day when I got back from work, until the packet was done. I simply felt too lazy to buy another pack. Vaping stuck from that moment on!
I had a pull last month out of curiosty, and I can safely say, I will never go back.
I left my ecig at the camp while hunting last month. After we got what we wanted, I took that pull, and good grieve it was disgusting!
We've been hiking for many kilometers, and I though I needed a smoke. Boy was I wrong!

Any ways, Good luck. Dont think too much over it. Your body will make that decision for you eventually!

Once you recover from smoking and your sense of smell returns, many things strike you differently than before. The trashcan smells much worse, food smells much better, and cigarettes stink! Then, you realize what people were talking about when they walked by the smoking area and made a face.

It's really nice to walk outside and be able to smell dirt, flowers, trees, and all those aromas that you took for granted when you were young and smoke free. When I make the coffee at night so that it will be ready in the morning, I can smell the ground coffee sitting in the filter all over the kitchen. I used to have to be within inches of the coffeemaker to smell it.
