There is an interesting debate about whether non-smokers should decide to take up vaping; and if so, with or without nicotine. Of course, it is better if such persons vape instead of smoking: if the decision were to be either/or, then vaping would be the better choice.
There are some other factors, as is often the case. For example, if there is any possibility that the person may then go on to smoke but would not have done so without first vaping. This seems unlikely for several reasons, but can only be decided by very comprehensive surveys, together with expert analysis, carried out over decades.
