I know it sounds kinda paranoid, but I kinda wonder if it was someone writing an anti-vaping story trying to drum up some material.

My advice to the OP: You are old enough to make your own decisions. If you truly enjoy vaping and the effects of nicotine, I say go at it. The dizziness you speak of will soon pass, as it did with all of us who started with analogs. There are many reasons why we started smoking in the first place, stress reduction among them. Vaping is a valid reaction to some of the struggles we face as we reach adulthood and does enhance the lives of some of us, though some of the hypocrites here deny it.

Sorry for taking so long to reply guys. I was having a family dinner and this is the first forum board I have been on that can fill three pages of a thread in a few hours lol. I am used to much less active forums, so I was surprised to see the large number of posts on this thread.

I have had the time to read every last post. I know that with age comes wisdom, and every word that was typed I took in.

I appreciate all the responses, feedback, and the encouragement to stop something that I don't feel negative effects of yet. But that is the big word, 'YET'...

Although I have only positive experiences vaping, no addiction after over 3 months of almost constant vaping while listening to music, playing games, reading, and just in my free time in general, I will take all of your words and stop now.

I have been conveniently presented with the opportunity of visiting family out of state for 2 weeks starting January 2nd. I will stop vaping now and plan on not taking my e-cig with me. That will give me plenty of time to decide whether I really am addicted, or if I should keep on vaping, or what else I could do to keep myself occupied.

I did not mention this part in my first post, but I started vaping during AIT training for the military. I was given two stressful roommates and half of the soldiers were my age AND smoking cigarettes. I wanted to fit in, and it helped. But I am Pennsylvania National Guard and starting college January 21st, so hopefully I will have more positive activities to occupy my mind.

Thank you all for your responses. I was not trolling or 'leaving' a post behind to stir up something, I was just occupied and not used to a popular forum board such as this one.

Secondly, sounds as though you're doing a good job giving the vaping some further thought. I think you'll make the right decision as to what's best for you. I think everyone in this thread (myself included) was trying to walk the line between being too preachy...and relating their own struggles with nicotine addiction and why it's recommended not to even start.

I would have to agree with most of what has already been said here. Drawing anything into your lungs other than air is a bad idea.
That being said, I started smoking at 14 and anyone with the exception of my peers would have advised against it. I chose to smoke. Getting addicted to nicotine sneaks up on you. I could quit smoking whenever I wanted for a long time. I just didn't feel like quitting. Of course, by the time I really wanted to quit I couldn't. 37 years later, I might kick the habit with the help of E-cigs.
I would advise against vaping. You are an adult and the decision is up to you. If you choose to vape I would highly recommend 0-nic juices.

Nick every response. I have read so far are spot on in one aspect.....your well being! Most if not all of us have had the unfortunate pleasure of trying to kick the nicotine habit in the form of tobacco smoking! Don't play with that gun for your sake! I have had to put down so many different vices in my life and have been relatively successful with all of them except one. Tobacco! Go figure huh? If you want to take up Vaping get yourself some 0mg juice and enjoy till your heart's content. If you feel the need for the buzz, go run or hike until you are oxygen deprived. It will suit you better in your life! If I had know I would live past 30, I would have taken better care of myself when I was your age. Life is to be lived, not a goal to be reached! Enjoy your each and every day as if it were your last!!!! :headbang:

If you MUST vape then please use 0 nic juices. The activity is relaxing, the flavors are delicious, and the placebo effect is real.

I don't mind being Preachy.

I think it is a Terrible Idea to start using e-Cigarettes.

If your Stressed Out Nick, Go Ride your Bike or go to the Gym. Read a Book or do some Hobby.

It's not a good call to say I'm Stressed Out so I'll take a few Hits or Something. Because life is going to be Full of Stressful Times. That just kinda the way it is.

Better to learn this Now at 18 and not pick up an Addiction than to know it later with one.

I'm not doubting you. But I've not heard of that (yet)...at least locally here.

If they ever develop a test for stupidity...I know of a few employers who would fail miserably. ;)

Absolutely true. I had to take a blood test for cotinine on the 20th. The good news it that I stoped the analogs on 11/6. I vaped mostly liquids that contained nic but I also bought and used 0 nic since the day I started vaping. 10 days before the test, I vaped all 0mg, but I allowed myself to drip something with nic in it (6 or 12mg) every night. When I did that, I also downed 2 very large glasses of grapefruit juice. It simply prevents your body from turning the nic into cotinine. The nic passes right through. Employers and HC companies test for cotinine. I got my results back, and it was 0 for nicotine, and 0 for cotinine. I was expecting to see one test or the other show at least some. I'll be approx $2000 richer this year! I guess that will cover my entire vaping budget for the year.
