Unfortunately having some big problems with the 2 atties that came in a kit.. both of them seem to be duds. My dad put some tobacco 24mg in a cart and starting vaping it, instantly he coughed and spluttered asking "is it meant to taste like this?!" I knew it was primer so I blew it out. Still the same taste he says. I Soaked it in isopropyl alchol and let it dry last night. Today, he tried again but still the same burnt flavor! and also, if he drips its flooding out the battery connection. Like I tried it, 1 drip and it just seeps out of the bottom by the battery within 10 seconds.. its weird.

So there was a bad taste, dulling slightly but none of the juice flavor. So I got my crushed menthol crystals out, mixed some 0nic base and out of about 5g crystals lasts me months and moonths but I decided I wanted to taste something, so I added probably a gram of crystals (1/5 of tub..) thats a LOT. It should be WAY too much for 10ml. I put it into a cart and vaped, expecting an overwhelming mint to burn my sinuses.. But no, I could taste the hint of burnt STILL, and barely any mint. Loads of vapour though.. this is weird.. same with both atties, exactly the same. Thinking they're duds?

Could be duds... you may want to return them to the vendor...

Are you sure they are true Joyetech atties? Or knockoffs?

The most consistent 510 atties I've used are the genuine Joye, followed by Bauway, and SLB.

Other knockoff atties just haven't worked for me, had burnt taste, got really hot/produced no vapor, or just generally were horrible.

The problem is that most manufacturers of atomizers use a primer on the element to protect it, and it tastes like crap. Blow all of your attys out onto a paper towel until the primer is removed. Prime the atty by dripping a couple of drops of your juice onto the element, and you should be good to go. If this doesn't work, as you say, you have a problem and should return or replace the attys. I just received 25 LR510 attys from one of my China based suppliers, GreenHouse One, and they were clean when I got them - NO primer, and that worked great right out of the box. They also had them on sale at $3.00 ea. in packs of 5.

Hi guys, I'd just like to report I fixed the problem by:

disassembling the atomizer, I wanted to find what was up.
I ended up removing the wick under the bridge, then removing the mesh on top of the bridge, and prying the bridge out with tweezers. This exposed the coil completely and I saw there were brown and black wicking fibres stuck to the coil.. I gently took them out and they smelt exactly like the bad taste. The wick is not supposed to burn under the heat an atomizer produces.. mustve been put in wrong or some error.

Best news, If dripped onto the coil now, it is PERFECT ! :)
