I'm pretty sure since he is vaping a juice with a high water percentage, none of us know what happened.
Unless we have a chemist or a physicist willing to chime in?

One thing is for sure though, vaping juice with a high water content doesn't work well at all.
That much has been very well established long prior to this thread.

Ok, so now all you off-topic carto gurus/geniuses can explain to us normal folks how the heck he managed to get burnt taste from watered down e-juice and an atty full of water. (I think there is an answer BTW)

Curiosity killed the...I'll take a crack at this. After soaking in hot water, I dry burn all the time to dry the atty and get the most stubborn juice off. Obviously, the atty has both remnants of juice and water in it, similar to OP's condition. When the atty is heated, water evaporates and whatever ingredients in the juice stick to the heating coil until burned to ashes. Unless the ashes are washed away, there would be that burnt taste, even with water still in the batt end of the atty. I may have the science wrong, but that is what happens when dry burning.

Good guess JustaGuy... that was pretty much my guess too, also note this:

I'm presuming it's flooded since there is liquid seeping out where the atty meets the battery, yet from the taste of it you'd swear it was bone dry :S

lol. It was so thinned with water that most of it ran out the connector, leaving it mostly dry, and then essentially semi-dry-burning with uncleaned atty (partial PG/VG/Flavor still left in).

So what you posted would be my guess too. lol. Wonder if his brother is still alive, or if he pulverized him?

Ooh hoo! All that dry burning paid off. Yeah, nobody should mess with another man's nic juice. :)

So I've had my new atomizer a grand total of one day and I am getting nothing but the nasty burnt taste every drag. I have tried fully draining it and blowing it out, dripping it, using a cart, dripping AND using a cart, all fully draining in between and still just a nasty burned taste.

This seems to be a common problem with 510s. I'm on the verge of flooding it and still nothing.

I've looked down into the atty and there's nothing stuck in there, there can't already be any kind of build up after 1 day. Is there anything else I should check or do I have to shell out another £10 for another atty which might well do the self same thing? This cig is starting to put me off vaping :(

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks guys

Get geniune JOYE 510 cartos in white Fill from the fill hole until the atty is flooded. You can see the juice filling the carto by holding it up to a bright light. Use a 10ml syringe with 19 gage, 1 1/2 long blunt-ended needles.

HTH,
Dave
