I am hoping to get some help to buy only what I need right now. On the advice of some in this forum I have purchased the following from Smokeless Image to get started. I am loving it, but I am having some mouth problems. I have read that it is due to tobacco withdrawal and dry mouth. However I would like to switch to VG and go organic. This is what I bought and my questions are below:
Volt - Pro Starter Kitvoltpro-CRT_Menth_12-Pro_SK-saSilv78_white-mwht78_blu-MCC_Purple 1
Volt Starter Kit
1 x Pro Starter Kit $0.00Pro_SK
Volt Battery #1 Color:
1 x Manual White Battery 78mm - Blue LED $1.00mwht78_blu
Volt Battery #2 Color:
1 x Sealed Auto Silver Battery 78mm - White LED $1.00saSilv78_white
Volt 5pk Cartridges - Flavor Selection:
1 x Ice Menthol - Medium (1.2%) $0.00CRT_Menth_12
Volt Charginc Case (Mega or volt case)
1 x Mega Charging Case (v2) - Purple Lid $0.00MCC_Purple

Can I refill the cartridges with a different flavor? or do I need to buy blanks?
Smokeless Image doesn't seem to carry organic VG, Is there a reputable company you can suggest?
I like the cartridges, but they are the only ones I've tried. To use VG with these batteries, do I need to buy blanks from the company that sells the VG juice?
This question will show my absolute newness to all of this, but why is VG or PG even necessary? Why not just distilled water?
Thanks in advance for your patience.

You can use any 808 Cartos, however the smokeless image ones aren't very good. They are horizontal bottom coil so they do not burn as easily as others, which helps for VG juice. I actually have a video on YouTube which shows a smokeless image one cut in half so that you can see what I'm talking about. You may also want to consider something like a CE3.

On another note, vaping causes dehydration and dry mouth so make sure you drink a lot of water

Try Alien Visions E-Juice for 100% vg juices. Some of their tobacco juices are awesome.. I use them in cartomizers all the time. Quality. You might want to try tanks. Like the Vivi Nova from Gotvapes.com . I think you will have a better experience.
I dont know if your pv is an 808 threaded model but you can also use 510 connection with an 808 to 510 connector..

So just let me see if I have this straight. In order to use The VG juice, I am better off WITH a horizontal bottom coil ? I'm not very clear on that point. and any 808 Carto will work or I can use an adapter ? I want to stick with a set up that mimics an analog for the time being. I'm sure that will change as I become more comfortable with vaping. I am drinking a lot more water, but these blisters in my mouth are worrisome. I wonder if it's doing this to my mouth what it's doing to my lungs. So I think I'll try the VG. I just don't want to waste money buying the wrong equipment. Thanks for the replies.

Any 808 cartomizer will work with a Volt.
If you desire to use any other type cartomizer besides an 808, you will need to buy an adapter.
Did I help a little?

You can use any 808 carto. I just like the horizontal bottom coil because they don't burn as easy. High vg juice is thicker and thus can take longer to wick in the filler. Having used both kinds of cartos with 100% vg, my personal opinion is the bottom coil preformed better. The SI ones are $9 or 5 and you can use a 15% off coupon to make them $7.60

While I won't say you wouldn't be happier with 100% VG as many are, I would suggest you read through the forum. I can't find it now but I know I read a thread a while back that dealt with the changes as you change over to vaping from smoking, and I seem to recall that sores in the mouth was a common issue that should go away within a few days.

Edited because I found the link http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html
