Hello all...Im a noob when it comes to vaping. I seen it on youtube, now i see outside. Im really interested in vaping. I have no idea where to start. I smoke a pack a day, and i want out of it. This seems like the better alternative, so i wanna give it a shot. I tried looking on my own for something...I came across DV eGo-T Starter Kit - 900mah for $40. Is this a good start for me, and if so, what sort of juices should i buy.

Thank You
WICKED

Sounds like a good starter to me, without too much exp but enough to say. As far as flavors, if you smoke menthol, there is a plethora of diff menthols to try. And taste/flavor is all subjective, so I would go with what you think you might like. The vendor that sells your juice is kind of important. Might want to try MtBaker, as recommended to me on here, and I have bought a lot from them since.
Good luck and welcome !

for juices you might want to try The Vapor Chef, if you like smoky tobacco flavors, I tried most of his tobacco flavors and they're all good smoky and warm at 70VG/30PG with good throat hit, to start off you might want to go with 18-24 mg of nicotine, or you can get several bottles with different levels

Welcome, you're in the right place. Almost any kit from one of the quality dealers will work if you let it. I would recommend a vv battery, several different juice delivery devices (carto's, bottom coils, and some cheap clearo's) till you find one you like. Juice flavor is subjective, I started with some tobacco flavors, decided I like fruit and some sweet flavors better. Still have some tobacco ones just to get that taste every now and then. Once you decide to start, get back ups and back ups for the back ups!

Another vote for the eGO's. My wife and I both use store re-branded eGO CE5's with EVOD's. $37 before tax, and the store threw in their house juice for free. We absolutely LOVE 'em!

Congratulations on deciding the give vapes a shot, Wicked! Your body, and your wallet, will thank you a thousand-fold! Best of luck to you! Cheers! :toast:

Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is what produces vapor and mutes flavoring somewhat, Propylene Glycol (PG) causes throat hit and carries flavor (some people are sensitive or allergic to it), these are part of what makes up your liquid (the other being nicotine liquid and flavoring, both mostly based in PG).

I personally prefer VG based liquids, I don't like much throat hit (TH)

My advice: avoid anyone who wants to overcomplicate things before you try anything out. My advice is go to your nearest brick and mortar store and buy one of their cheaper ego batteries and whatever atomizer they suggest, and whatever juice they suggest. Eventually you will want something better than this, but this will get your feet wet until you figure out what you like and what to get as a more permanent solution.

Only thing is, as a smoker, be sure to start with high nicotine juice. Like 20mg or higher. This is to teach your body right away that ECIGS DELIVER. You can lower it after that. The last thing you want is to start too low nic, and get a bad first impression like they "don't do anything". Then you'll lose interest and be a smoker for life.

Thats alot cheaper, thanks for info...um as for buy diff juices...i dont understand pg vg percentage

Mt. Baker Vapor (MBV) let's you customize liquids, The Vapor Chef (TVC) too ... as far as VG/PG goes
nicotine levels usually start at 36 mg/ml and go down to 24, 18, 12, 6 and 0 (some places have some extra steps in between)
MBV let's you add extra flavor shots, if original is not strong enough.

So, there are many options and customizations, since personal taste is relative, only you can decide what is good or best for you, it will take some experimenting.

If you can get an ego with variable voltage like the ego twist or vision spinner it will give you a better vape. If not for being able to raise the power level up in hard times I never would have made it threw. I will be 2 yrs smoke free in Feb. I kept buying different devices until I got my 1st variable voltage one. The ego's with VV are very simple to use. They just have a dial on the bottom that you can turn up or down for a stronger or weaker hit. It really is a wonderful thing. Good luck no matter what you choose :)
