I think a lot of people when you talk about entry level APV's confuse price with value. On the price side, the Vamo receives many recommendations because it's a $30 APV, or $50 kit, and represents one of the lowest cost entries into the world of APV's. For about $20 - $50 more, though, you open up a whole world of possibilities, in fact, all but the most expensive top end APV's. I have my biases. First, the Sigelei, Innokin, Smoktech, Joye, Vision, and ProVape lines stand out for me. Second, I am biased toward variable power and eGo threading. Third, I like the display on the eVic, and LCD Displays on some stick batteries. Fourth, I prefer bottom coil clearomizers over top coil clearomizers. Finally, I am far from an expert on anything "vape", but I do have a lot of experience with the following suggestions, and own all of these models. My recommendations (with 1 being the highest recommendation):

Stick Batteries, known as eGo Style Batteries (entry level, backup, out and about, stealth, primary):
Trusted Vendors shown, but NOT selected based on pricing, you'll still need to shop around. You will need device specific battery chargers (which often come in kits) for these devices. Also, kits often provide two batteries allowing for simultaneous vaping while charging of the backup. Each of the eGo style batteries below have both 510 and eGo thread connections. As such, they are compatible with most toppers, including most Kanger products. Additionally, each of these devices has at least variable voltage, which allows you to adjust and regulate the battery output voltage, providing customizable vapor production, temperature, throat hit, and finding the "sweet spot" for your juices to suit your individual vaping preferences:

1. Innokin iTaste 3.0 vv/vw, usb passthrough, ohms reader, etc. - https://ivape.net/index.php/iTaste-VV-3.0-Variable-Wattage-Device-Pearl-Chrome.html (variable power, LCD display, +/- buttons, Usb passthrough, 3.3 - 5.0 volts, 6.0 - 11.0 watts, 800mA
2. SLB KGO VV - KGO V.V. 650mAh (LCD display, +/- buttons, Usb passthrough, 3.0 - 6.0 volts, 650 - 1200mAh)
3. Vision Spinner - Vision Spinner VV eGo Battery 1300mAh (3.3 - 4.8 volts, 1300mAh)
4. Joyetech Twist - eGo Twist 1000 Mah Battery in Black (3.2 - 4.8 volts, 650 - 1000mAh)
5. Smoktech Winder - Smok eGo Winder 900mAh Variable Volt Battery (3.2 - 4.8 volts, 900 - 1100mAh)

Best Starter Combo kit out there, imho, provides two batteries, i.e., the twist and/or spinner, and two toppers, i.e., the eVod and/or MT3s, among others: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm. Recommend one eVod and one MT3s topper with one Spinner and one Twist to start. This way you get four different products with the kit and allowing you to experience four different setups, as you figure out your preferences and what works best for you. BTW, you can spend less and get a fixed voltage battery, but you'll have much less vape flexibility and it won't be long before you'll want to upgrade to variable voltage, more than likely, and the difference initially is only a few dollars per battery anyway. Welcome to ECF, congrats on getting here, good luck and vape on!

So I just join the forum and I been on BLU for a few weeks and I really love them but I guess as anyone around here you want more from vaping and I have been reading the forums and trying to figure out a new kit so I can enjoy vaping.

this is what I am planning on getting as a starter kit please is it a good start or not or what should I do?

DV eGo-T Starter Kit - 1100mah

and also where would be a good place to get liquids.

Yeah, not a bad kit from the looks of it. I don't know that vendor myself. We do have a Forum Supplier section you could check out. The vendors there are registered and known around ECF. Good place to find reputable dealers when you're new.

You're in Katy? There's got to be some vape shops around then. A "brick and mortar" you could go to and talk to somebody. And actually see the kit and the widgets and all.

I think GotVapes is over your way. Not sure they have a store front or are just online...

I been looking for them, but will check gotvapes, I got blu from a retail store so I thought it was still underground, I ended up going with this kit:
Vision Spinner Joye Ego-C Twist Combo

didn't realize there were stores near my area, but at least I know where to get my juices then.

Looks good  Don't forget juice.
can I also use the blu type atomizer since I also have some left with the battery?
Yes the Blu are 510 and the Spinner accepts either 510 or eGo threaded accessories. NEVER charge your Blu with the Spinner charger as it will damage the Blu batts.

It's a good price BUT always good to have an emergency B&M nearby. Especially good cuz you can sample juices before buying. Realize they will be more expensive.
Cheers.

well there are several tobacco stores near my area but not real vaping/E-CIG stores, but they sell some E-CIGS and liquids the problem is that all of the stuff they are selling doesn't look that reputable looks like generic packaging and cheap stuff, so i am kind of suspicious.

oops lol too late but you did good!

Thanks, yeah I went for the 1300mah, and 1 evod and one iclear, I guess I will see what works best, the site had the best deal, the colors well haha, they only had the purple and green so I just flipped a coin and purple it was ;-)

And I already got me some liquid from ECBLEND two flavors with 6mg nic and 0mg nic. Technically I have not really been a heavy smoker since 2000, I just smoke occasionally at a party or with friends that do, BLU open me others doors since granted you can still get some nicotine but then also 0 nicotine and awesome flavors, which that is why I vape most of the time. Now with the new set I definitely see I will enjoy it more and I am amazed of all the flavors you can find and also DIY options.

When you get your Spinner start by dialing in at low voltage and slowly turn it up until you hit your "sweet spot". Diff juices will taste better at diff voltages. Wash the clearos before using them as they sometimes have machine oil and/ or other stuff in them.

Yeah, a while after posting, I saw I was too late. But you were in good hands. :)

And that's a nice kit. Much like where I ended up by "trial and error". You get to skip the "error" part. ;)

But there are brick & mortars popping up all over these days. Not tons and tons yet but more all the time. We've got a couple in Round Rock. Pure vape shops. Not smoke shops with vape kits. Houston's a lot bigger than us so they gotta have a couple by now surely. This is all fairly new so it might not be around the block but fairly close (ya know, in city terms... like Round Rock is a good hour away from me even with the toll road going to 80 so I can't go often but can if I really need to).

One good place to check is Value Vapor. They're over here in Austin but get orders out the door like you wouldn't believe. For me, it's like overnight shipping at first class prices. Austin to Houston wouldn't be quite as fast but it'd be pretty quick. I get my clearos and clearo heads from them. They also have FlavorZ by Joe which can be really good. Your mileage may vary of course but his Cinnamon Blueberry Crumble is like vaping desert. Least for me. I do love blueberries. :)

Anyway. Lotta Texans around ECF so stick around. You'll probably run into somebody here that knows where the shops are in your area.
