I tried a flavor boost for the heck of it once, just because I really loved the Vanilla Bean flavor and the smell of it from the get-go. Other people around me (non-vapers and non-smokers) always said it smelled great to them, too. I always order it now. You don't want too big a flavor boost though (like when you get into DIY liquid that I'm getting prepared to do). I've heard that when it reaches a certain point in additional extract...it defeats the whole purpose.

As for PG/VG ratio - I use a 40PG/60VG simply because I like the slightly lower PG%. There's not a lot of difference between that and the 50/50, but for me...I found that I never get a slight headache now, when vaping the lower PG. For other people it may be different.

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
Thank you for that info! That really explains a lot of what I am experiencing.
I am using a fairly high nicotine, so that explains the bitterness I often experience.

I am not experiencing this throat hit phenomenon yet. At least nothing uncomfortable or noticeable. And believe me, I am doing some serious sucking on this baby!

I am sucking directly to my lungs, at 12W, so am surprised I am not feeling it. Definitely tasting the bitterness, though.

Thank you for the info on cleaning the tanks.

Question:
How will I know if my coils are burnt? I have heard this mentioned. Can you tell by looking at them? I have read here that it gives a burnt, not good taste. Is that correct? It will be noticeable? As I mentioned, it tastes bitter, a lot now, so yay, another bad taste to experience!

I am going taste testing today, so maybe I will be able to find some flavors that aren't so bitter?!?!?!

But the good news is 3 days cigg free!
And I haven't snapped anyone's head off.
( so far at least, ha ha )
You will know when your coil is burnt, I promise, or rather when the wick is burnt. It tastes like Satan's favorite flavor; I mean fearsome bad. It's like vaping the ashes from a burned-down house. If the coil wire burns instead of the wick, you'll also know because it will stop working entirely. The bitterness is probably from your high nic. There really isn't going to be much you can do until you wean off enough to lower the nic content. Sweeter juices-- fruits, peppermints, so forth-- can help mask it some. Caveat: sweeter juices also gunk up wick faster, meaning more often (and more expensive) coil changes. One more option: you can go subohm. That makes a lot more vapor. Because of the increased vapor in the draw, most people cut their nic in half between tootle puffing and subohm vapes. I forget what gear you bought, but you'll need subohm coils, and maybe another tank to put them in, plus at least 30 watts of available power.

Finally, if you will either quote or like my post, the system will notify me and I will come back to the thread to see what is going on. I don't, always, unless I notice OP (original poster) has added a new comment on the splash page. I don't mean to not answer you, but sometimes I miss if I don't get notified.

Oh, forgot this as far as finding terrific deals on vaping supplies, kits, etc. - Definitely shop around for anything you need. There's a HUGE difference from 1 site to the next in many cases. I'm notorious among my friends and fellow vapers, for being a terrific "deal finder". I've saved myself and them a ton of money on stuff for vaping. Sign up to receive newsletters from some sites, check coupon sites for useful coupons, etc. I have several favorite websites that I know usually always beat other website prices, and for authentic stuff...not clones! It's amazing the money you can save if you take the time to look for the deals!!
