I’ve smoked a pack a day for over 25 years and I need to quit. I tried a Blu and it was ok. I’ve researched on this forum for about 16 hours and I think I want an EVIC. Basically I’m looking for the best set up in one kit and where to purchase. I’m also looking to get an ego as a backup. I’m new and don’t understand a lot of the acronyms. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank for the information. Basically I’m looking for the best set up in one kit and where to purchase for the EVIC, EGO and juice.

local vape shop would be good coz they can help u set up... price wise it will be a little more, but not by much considering shipping costs saved and the free tutorial that will help u in all aspects.... plus you can always go back and bug them about any issues you may have =)
just filling a carto tank took me some time hahahaha i kept wasting juice =(

i am a newbie and not an expert... after a lot of trial and error my final set up is:

mini vivi nova 1.8 ohms (great flavor and vapor using 8-10 watts)

eVic kit with =long tube 18650 battery (battery last a long time)

= short tube 18350 battery (for when u need a smaller device ,, just carry some extra batteries)

stingray bridgeless dripping atomizer 1.5 ohms paired with an ego empire drip shield ( you wont need adapter for evic) EmpireMods › Empire Drip Shields it will contain any leak if any)

ego twist (joyetech) for variable voltage output...

couple of boge unpunched cartomizers

online is also good but i found it easier to deal with local shop .. i like being able to see and feel the actual product, if the price difference will be really tremendous i buy it online after i know what i wanna have... 20130410_033945.jpgshort mode

20130408_214706.jpgoriginal long tube wrapped with sticker
20130410_035648-1.jpg carry set up in a hard case (eyeglass case) for front/ back pocket

i'm barely trying to learn rba got the iGo S ..... then later will get Aga T 's

@ViperSRT,

I started vaping with my friend's eVic (he upgraded to a Provari, i bought his eVic), and the eVic is a great regulated mod to get started with vaping. Why?
- Clean and functional display
- Intuitive voltage and wattage controls
- 510 adapter means just about any tank/carto/genny can be fitted on to it
- Statistics (vape count, daily limit, etc) can be ported to your PC or Mac and the software plots a graph of your intake

@katya,

Hello again! You had a good sleep?

Most of this is why I think I will like the EVIC. I calibrate, inspect and repair medical equipment so the PC based stuff is what i like.

@katya,

Based on a beginner's standpoint, the eVic works wonders. The fact that the mod provides firmware updates means there's a lot more to the eVic in every update.
The VAMO, however is for intermediate to advanced (regulated voltage) vapers who want accuracy (RMS settings) and consistency when vaping.

That's what I thought. I've seen some complaints about evic being fragile and not very reliable--did you have any problems with yours?

I had an eVic, the gadgety bit was cool, the device itself was just alright for me. After about 3 weeks of all day vaping i noticed some thing building up in the control head which appeared to be condensation from the vapeing... Stopped using it, went back to my ego twist... After a few days the condensation disappeared, so i started using it again... no issues, a few weeks later same thing, only now the whole thing wont turn on... if i disconnect the battery from the control head it sometimes turns on and says it charging...

Anywho, my virst ecig was a volcano, i think it was the inferno if im not mistaken... Works better than anything else ive had...still use them more often than my ego's... was doing research to go back to a big battery and VV, and decided to go with the lava tube. For the starter kit, its $139 with free two day shipping, that includes the device, the battery, the charger, a carrying case, a tube tank, and a bottle of liquid.

I own an eVic, and while I love it, I have some issues with the build quality...

The toggle/jog switch/dial has an awful lot of play. It just feels fragile to me...I've only had the mod a month, but I'm curious to see just how durable it will turn out to be. For this reason alone, it's pretty much my stay-at-home mod.

Also, the button has a bit of play as well. While the battery stays put in the device snugly, there's plenty of rattle if you shake the mod a bit from the button and toggle combined. I kind of expected better fit and finish from a $115 device.

Also, it's nearly impossible to read the screen in bright sunlight (which we have PLENTY of here in Florida). I'm hoping Joyetech adds a brightness control in a future firmware update...if that's even possible. As said many, many times before, 6V would be nice as well.

Nit-picking aside, it's a great device that I enjoy greatly...my new iTaste MVP has become my travel/work mod, and the eVic gets vaped at home. I still use the eVic frequently, and love the performance.
