Refilling SmokeTip Cowboy Carts

I’m still very new to vapor and I’d really appreciate some advice.
I purchased a starter kit from SmokeTip, which I now understand is a KR808D.
I’ve been buying the Cowboy 16mg carts from SmokeTip. It seems like a waste to toss the carts after one use, but I’ve had terrible luck with refilling them. I’ve tried a couple of different PG liquids from emokeronline. The refilled carts don’t make as much vapor as a new one. They also seem to have a sweeter flavor. Can someone advise me on an eliquid and the supplier of it. I’m hoping to find one that would taste and work as well as a new SmokeTip Cowboy 16mg cart does?

No, it's like this...Have you tried the condom method.

Taste sweeter and don't produce as much vapor after refilling. I think that's going to be the juice. Usually those prefilled cartos have dekang juice which is all PG. VG is sweeter and thicker. It usually produces more vapor but, if it's not wicking right because it's too thick, it won't. I don't use dekang juices but I think I saw some on madvapes. Others might know better.

I don't recommend the condom method because drips can kill auto batteries. If you can remove the end cap to add juice then there is no reason to use the condom method. And some people think the condom method can shorten the life of a carto. If you open the carto to add juice then you can see inside, make sure any center channel is clear, make sure no juice is pooled above the stuffing etc. You can kill auto batteries with juice leaks.

What flavors of PG juice are you buying? If that's the Chinese liquid try USA Mix which is what they used to call Marlby or Marl-something. And the Chinese DK-Tab is not sweet. If you buy RY4, RY5 etc yes those are probably sweet - they are caramel tobaccos and sweetened w/ ethyl maltol.

Try the Cowboy or WOW Cowboy cartos from Vapor4Life (KR808D-1 - will fit Smoketip) - if you like those then you can buy the liquid there too.

leCig also sells "D1" cartos and may have a Marlboro-alike (and if so will also sell the juice)

For testing juices, even though dripping is not recommended on an auto battery, you could get a standard DSE901 atomizer (not LR) and 901 drip tip. You would need to get the initial primer off of the atty (tastes nasty). Then you could carefully drip juices on the atty to try them. It would be a shame to fill a carto with something and then dislike it. Even the manual KR8's are not totally sealed on the threaded end like a 510 is. The manuals just aren't dependent on a drag sensor there.
