Based on a beginner's standpoint, the eVic works wonders. The fact that the mod provides firmware updates means there's a lot more to the eVic in every update.
The VAMO, however is for intermediate to advanced (regulated voltage) vapers who want accuracy (RMS settings) and consistency when vaping.

How is an eVic not consistant when it's a VW/VV device? You set it and get the same vape every time you fire it.
