I am new to vaping. I decided to quit smoking and go to vaping with no plan, research or even much thought. How I've made it this far I have no idea. I had 4 cigs left when I bought a Blu. I smoke my 4 and that was it. It has been 3.5 weeks. I have a love/ hate opinion of Blu. I live it because its easy and requires no thought or work. I was smoking about 1 1/2 packs of Camel menthols a day and would never have made this far without it. I HATE the Blu battery. It's terrible.
I have since bought a Ego-c Upgrade. I have only had it 2 days. I like it but I miss some things about the Blu. I miss the warmth of the vapor. Maybe it's not supposed to be warm? I don't know but my ego isn't warm at all. Is there a cartomizer/ clearimzer that works best for what I am missing? Thanks so much in advance!

yep, something about 1.8ohm should be warmer and give a more satisfying vape..the ego-c upgrade puts out 3.3v I think, I'm pretty sure the blu starts out at 4.2v freshly charged and drops to 3.3v at minimum. So you're noticing that lower voltage, a lower resistance carto/clearo etc will make up for that lower voltage :)

That's why I like my "mini eGo" it's 3.7v. Combine that with a 1.8ohm eVod clearo and I find it a very nice vape :)

It's tiny (about 12cm) and great for a sneaky vape at work

Which on did I get? Funny you should ask... I bought it at what I "thought" was a reputable local dealer which has a thread on this website. And when i got bome realized i had no book, instructions, or info. I was a bit over whelmed when buying it and should have noticed when I was there but didn't. :( I bought a "kit" and they put it together for me all in a case so I don't have any idea what I have except that my battery says ego-C upgrade. How can I tell?

To everyone one else...I am researching/ googling these thing s you posted Haha! Your speaking a foreign language. I am so lost.

I like the looks of the "mini" pic above and think I may understand what cowdog is suggesting.

I have no ideas what cartomizer I am using.. It doesn't say. But here is a pic if that helps. Thanks for all your help! image.jpg

Looks like a Kanger T3 to me, from the knurled base on it. When upside down, you should be able to unscrew the knurled part, which is the base, and replace w/a new base when the coil burns out (instead of buying a whole new clearomizer).

If you want a lower resistance unit for a warmer vape, as has been suggested, they have those heads in 1.8ohm.

Another +1 for the advice from Cowdog. A lower resistance cartomizer or atomizer will give you a much warmer vape at standard eGo voltage. The 1.7ohm cartos, sometimes referred to as Resurrectors or Rejuvenators work very well with the eGo and are easy to fill and use. Just be sure to get them good and saturated before firing them up for the first time.

As the others have said a variable voltage mod would help with the wamth, i also find that cartomizers like a boge for instance give off a wamer vape, although cartomizers are rather picky you cant over fill or it will flood if you dont fill enough you could end up burning the thing to a crisp. i recomend that you buy a VISION vivi nova (not the clone they do not preform the same at all),, and maybe get a few extra 1.8 ohm heads while you are ordering it. gotvapes has the vivi novas and they also have a great vv ego battery that is called the SLB it hits stronger then the joyetech and spinner imho and is comperable in price. if you go with this setup remember to get a ego cone thread cover to complete the look.

That looks like the red one of these... :)

it's an "SVC Ego Crystal Changeable Coil Cartomizer" that you can get from here..

SVC Ego Crystal Changeable Coil (CC) Cartomizer 2.4 ohm

If you unscrew the bottom of it (when it's empty) and look closely at the "coil head" (where the wick comes out of) you should see some little numbers..this will tell you how many ohms resistance your coil has

yep..I'd be surprised if you have a 1.8ohm atomizer in yours, probably a 2.4ohm or 2.8ohm..that link I posted says

"Replacement atomizers available separately in 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms."

which you can get from here..

SVC Ego Crystal Changeable Coil Replacement Atomizers

I'm quite new to all this myself but I think the lower resistance atomizer will heat up faster and get a bit hotter :) so try a 1.8ohm one...(if you don't already have that)

Or try one of the other cartomizers or clearomizers mentioned in this thread like the vivi nova etc (I use the "Kanger T3" and the "Kanger eVod" and I really like them both, I use 1.8ohm atomizers in mine) ...anyway, give it time Emily, it's all a bit confusing for us newbies but the more we read & learn the less confusing it will be and the more satisfying our vaping will get!..so don't feel lost, don't be afraid to ask questions..& good luck

Ok I'm back and have more question....sorry:(. I feel like I'm being a big baby but I am frankly scared of this china made juice I bought. When I stopped using the Blu and using this stuff I started getting really wheezy?! So I ordered some Red Oak JC since that is basically what's in the Blu right? Also I feel like this atominizer/cartromizer/clearomizers stuff is a lot of work. It's making my head spin trying to figure it all out. I tried to change to coil/ wick thing myself and it tastes burnt like I did something wrong. I also have a couple of these little v-nano things and although they are small the seem to give me the warmth I want and I just through them away right? Then I don't have to mess with changing things in them? I'm so confused Haha!!
